The LG G3 launched less than a month ago and we just can't keep our hands off of it. In a report published by The Korea Times, analysts predict a lot of people are going to feel the same way. At the start of 2013, LG had sold around 3 million G2 units worldwide. While 3 million units is no small feat (and that number has likely gone up since the new year) Woori Investment & Securities analyst Sophia Kim seems to think the G3 will double those sales for the Korean tech company.
LG announced that in the second quarter of 2014 they shipped 14.5 million smartphones. It's anybody's guess as to how many of those units were G3s, but its rumored to be as high as 10 million. Additionally, Kim believes that despite Apple's impending iPhone 6 launch, LG's flagship will sell consistently through the end of the year, saying, “only Samsung and Apple are rivals in the premium smartphone segment. There are concerns that the iPhone 6 might negatively affect LG Electronics' rebound, but such concerns are overdone.” While this is all speculation, the G3 is quite a handset.
