After hearing various rumors that Google would be discontinuing the Nexus program, new information has surfaced suggesting that isn't true. While Android Silver may be released in the near future, that doesn't necessarily mean that Nexus devices will be getting the axe.

“People have been commenting about Nexus because there is something else and they think that means the end of Nexus. That is the totally wrong conclusion to make,” said Dave Burke, head of engineering and the Nexus program. It's nice to hear that the successful program will not be put to an end, and the expectations are now that Android “L” will be released alongside a Nexus refresh.
