Google has announced a new certification program for their Google Glass devices to help encourage development of apps for the enterprise. The Glass at Work program announced five new Certified Partners that are producing Glassware to help businesses. The new partner companies include:

  • APX Labs – producer of Skylight, an app that is described as providing “workers with hands-free, real-time access to enterprise data and the expertise they need to do their job.”
  • Augmedix – an app that enables doctors to access electronic health records data via Glass so that they can focus on patient care instead of pulling files.
  • CrowdOptic – software that detects broadcast events as seen through mobile and wearable devices that can then deliver this for live broadcasts or in conjunction with context-aware applications.
  • GuidiGo – provides information and a “story” through partnerships with museums and cultural institutions to help people connect with art and culture.
  • Wearable Intelligence – makes data, communications information and workflow option available to workers in the field, in particular those in the energy, manufacturing, and healthcare industries.

Developers partnering the Glass at Work program are eligible for co-branding and listing on Google's web site dedicated to the program.
