We've seen a bunch of HTC M8 leaks already, and most of them were flat out fakes, and the ones that looked real had been shot down by HTC officials as being fake.
However, a new photo, tweeted out by @htcfamily_ru, shows the device, which appears to be from Taiwan based on the characters on the screen. This isn't a confirmation that it's real, but that hint certainly doesn't hurt its case— HTC is based in Taiwan, after all.
It appears to also be slightly elongated compared to the original HTC One, and there is also what seems to be an LED light between the top speaker grill and the front camera.
We won't know if this is legitimate until HTC finally announces the device in its entirety, but this certainly seems a lot closer to the truth than what we've been seeing.

Why are they putting the HTC logo on the bottom bezel? That whole thing can just be eliminated. Especially with on-screen buttons, why have so much dead space?!
One word… ‘Ewwch’
I hope this isn’t the design to the sequel of the HTC One. Main reason is the thick bottom bezel that holds the “HTC Logo” that is wasted space. If it’s not practical, don’t put it on the device. With that HTC Logo missing the device would be not as long and more comfortable for one handed use.
Hope that’s a fake, much prefer some of the other “leaks” where the bezel at the bottom is gone and much more reduced around the edges. Plus I don’t like the elongated look of the latest iPhones, so I’m hoping this is not the direction HTC is headed.
I think I prefer the original design of the HTC One.
