A photo has been discovered on a test Flipboard account, @123fliptest, that has suddenly garnered a lot of attention. The reason for that attention is not the image itself, but rather what's in the EXIF data of the image.

The device that was supposed to have taken the photo is the Samsung SM-G900V, the Verizon variant in the SM-G900 series. This series has also been leaked in a number of benchmarks, including AnTuTu, who now claim that the device is the Galaxy S5.

The benchmark also revealed that the camera on the device was a 16MP camera (5,312 x 2,988) which is the same resolution as the leaked photo.

From the photo's EXIF data we can also deduce that the camera had an f/2.2 aperture, as well as a focal length of 4.6mm. This means that the sensor size will likely be 1/2.5″, which is the same size as the 20MP camera on the Nokia Lumia 1520. In fact, there is even speculation that since the photo has a 16:9 aspect ratio, the full sensor resolution could be 21MP.

It is important to remember that it is fairly easy to edit EXIF data on a photo, so it's possible that this photo is nothing but a hoax.
