Well I don't think there is anyone in the world of mobile that would disagree with me when I say that the DROID Bionic was probably the biggest disappointment in 2011. I can't remember a more hyped up phone that literally didn't delivery an ounce of anything. Now all of a sudden a possible followup is showing up in Asurion's open enrollment forms. That's right the DROID Bionic 2. Are you kidding me?
Droid-Life is speculating that it could be a placeholder for the version without a 16GB microSD card. The assumption is that they break out every version of the RAZR based on color and storage and put a 2 in the model number, but to me it doesn't add up. I don't see a “2” next to any of those RAZR titles. The DROID Bionic 2 is listed as such, but yes it does have a “2” in the model as well. Lets hope it's a simple mistake.
Who's ready for a DROID Bionic with a 3300mAh battery? Let's hope that if this is true, they will drop the seriously awful PenTile display.
