Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus unboxing and initial hands on review [Video]

The original Galaxy Tab was one of the first Android tablets to launch last year. Even though it lacked the Honeycomb love that many other Android tablets had, it’s still a favorite for many, including our editor, Joe Sirianni. Fast forward one year and Samsung is about to release the follow up, the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, and the upgrades are plenty. For those looking for a smaller form factor, this is the one to get. Sure the Amazon Kindle Fire and the Nook Tablet are cheaper, but this is by far a better device. This isn’t just an E-reader folks.

The Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus features a 7-inch (1024 x 600) display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 3MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, and Android Honeycomb 3.2. It’s fairly thin, at 9.96mm and it weighs 345g.

You will be able to purchase the WiFi-only version for $399 from all major retailers starting November 13. For those requiring data on the go, T-Mobile will release an HSPA+ version on November 16 for $249 (after a $50 rebate and a 2-year contract).

Look for a full review soon from Joe, but for now checkout my initial hands on.
