I'm sure there have been many instances where you or a buddy of yours are flipping through your phone's “Gallery” and then stumble upon a picture that you or they weren't suppose to see. It's happened to me and many other people I know. Well, for Android there's a wonderful app that can solve that problem! It's called “Hide It Pro”, but it's also under the alias “Audio Manager Pro”. It's a free app on the Google Play store that does exactly what you would want it to do, and more. You can use it to hide pictures, videos, certain apps, files, text messages and even locks your desired app. What's even more wonderful about it is that it disguises itself as an “Audio Manager” app so that people that are going through your phone won't know what it really does. Surprisingly it also works well as an audio manager application, so in essence, it's two apps in one.

The application is very simple and easy to set up. Upon launch you just simple long press the “Audio Manager” icon at the top and it will bring you to the start up page. Once there, you can either choose to have a “pin” based entry system or a “password” based entry system. I find it faster and fits my preference to have a pin based entry, but a lot prefer a password so it's really up to your liking. Once you've set that up you should be directed into the “Vault” where all of your “goodies” will be stored. Now keep in mind that whatever you store into the app will be encrypted and you won't be able to find it in any other way, even by going through your SD card you won't be able to locate it. Thus, I suggest you either make copies and store them on your computer or you can just simply “un-hide” the app whenever you'd like access to it via your SD card. Once you're in the vault you can see all of the things that you'll be able to hide and it ranges from pictures all the way to even music and certain apps. The power to hide your pictures is probably the most used feature of this app, so in the video below I'll demonstrate how to hide your pictures. It's easy, quick and painless.

Another reason I love this app is that it features an “escape pin”, or an “escape password” depending on what you chose upon setup. (You can always change it back from password or to pin whenever you'd like in the settings) Since I chose a pin based system, I can actually create an escape pin, a different numerical pin that my real pin so that in any case that someone does find our about the “hidden” feature of the app you can simply input your escape pin so that the app will take you into a completely blank vault, instead of your real vault where all of your “hidden” items are stored. I find that ingenious and could quite possibly become very useful if the occasion to use it ever arises.
The app is completely free, although you can pay to remove the ads which is located in the menu button. Although, you have every feature available whether you pay or not which is great. The video below will show you the app and a simple explanation on how to set it up and get you started on how to hide your pictures. What do you guys think of it? Anyone give it a shot? If so, let me know in the comments section on how you think this app could be useful for you!

Fewer apps are able to hide apps without ROOT, recently I found one app named PrivateMe works perfectly, and causes no problem. PrivateMe is a ‘container’ app for Android devices. It creates a virtualized, isolated environment and allows other apps to run inside. So it can make hidden apps more secure and run stably without any interference with your phone system
Audio manager sucks… I stored all the pics in that app…. I was collecting all love related pics to surprise my hubby on our wedding… Because of this fucking app all my pics have been vanished…. Bloody shit…. I need my pics. Please help me out in getting my pics… Iam so angry with this app
I have lost (infact it got stolen) my mobile.
I had stored some private pics and hidden it using your hide it pro app.
I want to know whether there are chances of misuse of my data.
My phone has 8 Gb of internal storage and 16 Gb of External Storage SD Card.
Whether the photos are hidden it internal or external storage?
If someone does a factory reset whether all photos/videos will be gone ?
If the photos are hidden in external storage SD Card whether they will be visible by using card reader and viewing it on PC or Laptop ?
Most important Question- If the new user uninstall and reinstalls the hide it pro , then whether the photos will be visible to him or still be hidden ?
Please help asap

How do i stop my hidden messages from going to my regular inbox
How to back up deleted files
If i lost my phone and got a new one can I retrieve the data from the one i lost?
if you delete the app, and then reinstall it, you can then create a new password and then see anything that was stored previously. yea, thats real safe.
How can I make sure a certain persons texts only show up there. Nit in my inbox.
Not as safe as you might think.
I have Astro File Manager installed and I found, by accident, a way to locate and view the files hidden by Hide it Pro.
Astro has a function which shows SD card usage. Whith this function you can drill down in the folder structure in search of
the folder that takes up most space on the SD card which in my case is where the hidden videos are stored. Once there you can see the file names and of course also watch them.
In my case: sdcard/ProgramData/Android/Language/.fr/videos/mov
The .fr folder is hidden so using Astro’s standard folder browsing mode you won’t find it.
Not so safe!
U can still see thumbnails of hidden pictures at vault location on your internal or external storage via some file manager
Any chance you would know how i could find the file that has disappeared? All i did was change the thumbnail of the file and it deleted the whole file and all the images it contained!! :(
FFS!!! Why when I changed the thumbnail on a file, within the app, has it deleted the entire file?? How if possible can i recover the file and images??
Is there a way they can read the texts from the vault online?
hi , i recently purchased a new samsung galaxy grand quattro which support to dual sim. with a single sim the application was working fine but now i had changed my 2G sim primary position to secondary from which i used this app to send prvt sms. Result is always sms failure. On the primary Sim i m using the 3G which only supported by primary sim. what shuld i have to do that this application can run on Secondary SIm too….. Thanks in advance..
I lost my phone is there anyway to get the stuff virtually from the app or is there some kind of cloud storage somewhere
Do phone numbers of whoever you text show up on the online bill?
yes
Oops here in previous comments I just read that it stores the images on “device Memory”. If its so then I lost my images. Because I’ve changed the mother board of my phone and before that I just copied whole data of my internal SD. (I had not enough time to unhide and save images).
So is there any way to get back my hidden images? I’ve back up of my internal SD.
Get the Astro File Manager and use the SD Card Usage function to brows the SD card. It will find the files for you. Very easy if you have large files beacuse they stand out little against everything else.
In my phone they were stored under
sdcard/ProgramData/Android/Language/.fr/
I recently broke my phone and doesnt work nomore… :( is it possible to get my phone numbers and pics off the phone from the ap if the phone doesnt work? I havent tooken it to insurance for the same reasons…. i need those numbers and pics…..
Can you use this app to hide the text free app from pinger?
Good app. however it seems not to see my external sd when I try to change the vault location.
i am using this app first time, but my hidden files are moved to my storage of phone instead of ext.SD which much wastes my room of phone.
How do I change folder names in the app? i’ve uninstalled and re-intsalled the app… cleared cache… cleared data… all to no avail.
I have this app and loved it until I did something to hide the app from appearing in my app list. Now I cant figure out how to get to tbe hide it pro app! Help!!!
I had the app and I loved it and now that I didn’t need to hide things in my phone anylonger I got all my pictures where they should be and unhid my hidden contact. But now I can’t hardly send pictures to that contact let alone text them? Did the app give me like a bug or something? *LG optimits
Good app to have to give an extra level of protection should one’s phone be lost; especially if one doesn’t have ICS 4 with its encryption capability. Thank you for making mention of it and taking the time to explain it so thoroughly.
I’m glad you liked it! It’s definitely a great app :)
What are you trying to hide? O_o
Uh…. Some secret schtuff…. :P
