We all knew this day was coming, so hopefully you all haven't forgotten about the intriguing new Intel Medfield-powered Lava XOLO X900, right? Good because the device is no longer a thought, but rather a reality. The world's first Intel-based smartphone has officially been unleashed and will be available in Indian markets. The Xolo X900 will feature a 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z2460 processor with Hyper Threading 400MHz graphics clock, 1GB of RAM, a 4-inch screen, 8MP camera capable of recording in 1080P HD & 1MP FFC, an HSPA+ radio and Android 2.3 (though Intel does confirm a future Android 4.0 update).

For those of you living in India who are interested, the landmark smartphone is now available for INR 22,000 ($445 USD). Intel highlights the XOLO X900 will be available for purchase to customers from Croma and XOLO starting April 23rd, other retail chains and online stores follow in early May.
