Although the LG G6 launched several months before the much improved V30, it's finally dipping its toes into Oreo waters. The V30 started receiving Android 8.0 Oreo in South Korea on December 26th, so it's nice to see LG paying attention to the G6 as well. This only a beta version and limited to China for now, but it's a good sign that things are moving along.
Screenshots appeared in a Chinese forum that showed a G6 running Oreo. It's hard to make sense of everything if you can't read Chinese, but it's crystal clear that the phone is running Android 8.0.

The version of this beta is V19A and supports models LGM-G600L, LGM-G600S, LGM-G600K, LGM-G600LR, LGM-G600SR, LGM-G600KR, LGM-G600LP, LGM-G600SP and LGM-G600KP. It's unknown if the beta update will expand beyond China prior to an official Oreo release, but the fact that it's up and running on current devices signals that the full blown version should be around the corner.
