Smartphones and driving really don't mix, and using a phone to text or make calls while on the road is one of the biggest causes for traffic accidents. It's a tough problem to tackle, but Samsung wants to take a crack at it.
Samsung is currently working on an app that will automate replying to messages on your phone while you're driving with a custom text and fun animations. It's called In-Traffic Reply and uses sensors like the GPS to help you keep your eye on the road.
The app's currently in beta with a full release set for May this year.
Apps like these are great, but they always miss a few key functions like being able to automate replies in apps that don't have to deal with SMS. Being able to defer text messages and calls is great, but if it can't do the same thing for WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger, it's not perfect. Maybe Samsung will finally be able to pull that off with something similar to Bixby's app integrations.
