T-Mobile was first to push Android 6.0.1 to Galaxy S6 units, but Sprint wasn't far off.

Thanks go out to Jason F who took it to Twitter to announce the start of Sprint's rollout. The updated build number is G920PVPU3CPB6, which will bring Sprint Samsung Galaxy S6 units up to Android version 6.0.1. The update weighs in at a hefty size bringing all the features of Android 6.0. These include but are not limited to doze, simplified app permissions, and the fan favorite in that of Now On Tap. Sprint users who update will also get a cleaned up version of TouchWiz.

The update is rolling out in waves, so it may not hit your device today. If you are yet to receive the notification to update, try going into settings under ‘About Phone' and ‘check for software updates.' As of now there has been no word if the Galaxy S6's sibling the Galaxy S6 Edge is getting the same treatment. We'll have to wait for confirmation from Sprint to be sure.
