There has been a ton of talk about BlackBerry and their Venice phone lately. However, Evan Blass is stating that the name “Venice” will be changed to “Priv” once it hits store shelves.

The news has also been confirmed by N4BB who reached out to their BlackBerry contacts to get a comment. Although I kind of liked the name Venice, it was always a code name. The new Priv is said to be “a nod to their privacy and security features that are being brought over to Android”.
