A long time ago, as in last spring during MWC 2014, YotaPhone announced the second generation of their dual-display smartphone device. Fast forward to just in time for the holiday season, though missing out on the big Black Friday shopping peak, YotaPhone has finally started to move forward with the release of the YotaPhone 2. For those interested in the device, the bad news is that initially it appears it will only available in the U.K. market.

The device that is coming to market appears to be the same device that we saw during MWC 2014. This generation of the device comes with a 5.0-inch AMOLED display on the front of the smartphone. Things get interesting though when you check out the back cover, which has a 4.7-inch always-on e-paper display embedded in it.

Joining the unique dual-displays on the platform is a Snapdragon 800 processor, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal memory, an 8 MP rear-facing camera, and a 2,500 mAh battery.
