drawElements

drawElements is a startup company that offers many GPU benchmarking and compiler tools, and it's also the latest company to be scooped up by Google. While Google doesn't really have much need for an individual benchmarking application, drawElements carved out a name for itself by offering a very close look at hardware compatibility and optimization. By joining a company like Google, there's a pretty good chance they can use the tech to improve GPU compatibility in Android across different kinds of hardware.

Even without any of drawElement incorporated into Android, there's the possibility that Google might use the benchmark to test out Android Silver handsets. We still haven't seen any Android Silver information officially released, so we might see Google using the benchmark to test out the performance of devices to certify them for Silver.
