Verizon rolling out update for Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Verizon has started rolling out an update for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 devices on their network, bringing users some fixes for different issues along with some new apps. The new apps include a MyInfoZone widget, VMWare, Verizon Support & Protection (VSP) v.2.0.0, and Verizon Cloud. As far as issues, Verizon says they have addressed the following items:

  • Incoming call displays Picture Me on screen when using Call Waiting
  • Handwriting data entry issue for email and SMS messages resolved
  • Email sync issue fixed and connectivity improved
  • Bluetooth audio disconnect after a call is missed is fixed
  • Mobile hotspot reliability improved
  • Samsung keyboard crash issue fixed
  • Notification panel responsiveness improved

Verizon also says the Voicemail Notification now has an urgent priority notification available. Connectivity and sound quality issues have also been addressed.

The update is rolling out over-the-air (OTA) and users will receive a notification when it is available for their device. It may take a few days to get to your device if you have a Galaxy Note 3 on the Verizon network.
