Google quietly launched a landing page for a possible new service called “Google Helpouts”. It appears to be a “get help” service that will be available via Hangouts. Google will signup experts for various categories that will be available to teach or help others. Categories include Arts & Music, Computers & Electronics, Cooking, Education, Fashion & Beauty, Fitness & Nutrition, Health & Counseling, Home & Garden, and Other.

Based on the landing page, some people have already been invited for Beta testing, but you can sign up to get notified when Helpouts is live and/or to show your interest as a possible expert. Our understanding is the service won't be free, so there is a chance for “experts” to make some money via a revenue sharing program with Google. Hit the source link to sign up.
