A few months ago Google turned on autoplaying videos in the Play Store, which should make app entries a little more appealing to look at. But much commercials, automatic Netflix previews, and billboards, it can be distracting and annoying, and not everyone's a fan.
Google has updated the Play Store to now allow you to turn those videos off. You'll usually notice them while scrolling through the games feed, but like other services, it's bound to make its way to other sections of the store eventually. Here's how to go ahead and nip that in the bud.
- Tap the menu button in the top left of the store, or swipe from the left to get to the pullout menu.
- Tap Settings.
- Under General, you should see an entry for auto-play videos. Tap that.
- Adjust this setting to always play videos, only play videos while on WiFi, or turn off those videos entirely.

And that's it! No more annoying automatic videos. Unless you're into that, of course.
