There's a whole lot that an Android phone can do — it is essentially like a mini-computer walking around with you in your pocket. But at the end of the day, a phone is still a phone, and most people need to be able to make calls, send texts, and browse the internet with one.

Cricket is one wireless carrier that you can get for your Android phone, and whether or not you're already a subscriber of their service, you might want to know that they've just brought a new plan into their portfolio, and it'll cost you just $15 each month.

Cricket's New Wireless Plan Gives You Unlimited Talk And Text, As Well As High-Speed Data

Cricket is a pretty good wireless carrier for a lot of folks, but if you wanted a “budget” plan, they weren't the ones to get it from, as their lowest plans before cost $25 each month. There are wireless carriers available in the United States with plans cheaper than that.

Well, Cricket is about to make itself more competitive. Just a few days ago, the carrier announced that it was going to bring a wider variety of choices to its customers looking for 5G, and with that, they introduced their $15 monthly 5G plan. This plan gives you access to 5G high-speed data across the nation (though just 1 GB worth), as well as unlimited calling and texting.

It's also important to know that this plan comes with 2 GB of free cloud storage. However, it doesn't come with mobile hotspot functionality, so if you use that quite a lot, you may end up disappointed. You can hop onto this plan by signing up online via the link below, or you can do it physically at the Cricket retail location nearest to you.

The $15 Plan Isn't Enough For You? You Can Step It Up To Other Cricket Plans

The new $15 is a fixed plan that gives you 1 GB of 5G data across the nation, but if that's not enough for you, Cricket has other fixed plans, as well as unlimited plans, that can add more to sweeten the deal. For instance, with $30 each month, you can up your cellular data allowance to 5 GB. Pushing that up to $40 gives you 10 GB of data as well as roaming in Mexico and Canada.

Moving to Cricket's unlimited plans provides more value, though things get tougher to afford here. The standard is a $55 plan which can be paid month-to-month. This gives you unlimited data, optional hotspot access, 2 GB of cloud storage just like the fixed plans, roaming in Canada and Mexico, and unlimited texting to 37 other countries. There's also a $60 plan that builds on that but adds 15GB of hotspot use, 150 GB of cloud storage, and an ad-supported Max subscription bundled in.

There are other unlimited plans but they cover three months and twelve months at a time, and you only access the savings by prepaying (so you're basically on an annual subscription).
