If there's one thing we do not need it's being nagged to fork out extra dough to pay for some digital item that offers a similar investment value to a chocolate frying pan. While parents already have the ability to approve or decline purchases made via the family payment method in the Play Store, Google has introduced a new tool for families called Purchase Requests.

Suppose you don't have a family payment method set up. In that case, children can send a purchase request directly to the family manager who can then evaluate whether to approve or decline the transaction. You don't want to evaluate the request right now? That's ok because you can check the approval request queue at a later time. If you do approve the order, the transaction will show up in your order history like normal.
Whether it's Neymar's skin in Call of Duty Mobile, the one-off payment for a premium app, or perhaps a monthly subscription to a service, expect to get a few more notifications from those included in your family group.
Or just refuse to let your kids buy anything from Google Play.
Problem solved.
Even simpler solution: Don’t have kids in the first place.
