Frustrated at Not Being Able to Play Sonic CD? Well, Now You Can! 4

I was so excited yesterday at the release of the Galaxy Nex… er… Sonic CD that I was up really early to purchase it.  For $1.99 I was pretty excited to relive my childhood glory days of playing as the blue blur on the Sega Genesis for a ridiculously low price. When I first read about this coming I was extremely stoked, so you can understand my frustration when the extra 250MB worth of files wouldn't download. Alas, I have not been able to play Sonic CD. Luckily the Nexus came out yesterday and distracted me from the fact that these files wouldn't download.

That was yesterday, this is today. I was frustrated at the fact that this game wouldn't work, until now. Thanks in masses, to the folks over at Land of Droid, who were awesome enough to get a hold of these files and make them available to the rest of us. Hit the break below to download these files and follow the instructions for getting the game up and running. If you haven't gone over and purchased the game yet, check out the links below. From what I understand the issues have been fixed, but if they haven't, the day is saved! I don't know about you, but it's time for me to go stick it to Dr. Robotnik, Sonic style. Instructions:

  1. Download the RAR file below
  2. Transfer and Unzip the file to your phone and drop it into the Android/Data folder
  3. Launch Sonic CD
  4. Enjoy!

  1. is this a link to download the game too your phone then i tried payin for this game through my credit but it just keeps askin me to put in my bank details fuck that lol

  2. After three days, over two gigabytes, countless hours and no support from Sega whatsoever, I managed to get the game to download… This initial experience of downloading and installing this game is extremely off-putting for users, particularly if a user does not have access to large amounts of or unlimited data as I do.

Whatever the issue with downloading the game is, Sega needs to address it with the utmost urgency, in addition to actually offering support for this game via the e-mail link on the Android Market entry.

As for the game itself however, when (if?) you do actually get it to download, it is a FANTASTIC port of the original Sega CD/Mega CD game, with brilliant graphics, high-quality music, plenty of extras and even native support the Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY (“PlayStation phone”)… An extremely faithful port that runs perfectly on the Xperia PLAY (“PlayStation phone”) and is worth every cent, if you can afford the data and hours spent trying to download it.
