If you are anything like us here at Talk Android, you have eagerly been waiting for the release of a couple new Android devices, the Galaxy Nexus and The ASUS Transformer Prime. While I have great news for the later, I unfortunately have nothing for the former.
Earlier today, ASUS unveiled the Transformer Prime overview page and now Amazon is officially taking pre-orders for the tablet. Both the 32GB and the 64GB models are available in two colors, Amethyst Grey and Champagne. The 32GB model is going to cost you $492.20 while the 64GB version will run $584.22, both are slightly discounted from the suggested retail price.
In case you had forgotten, the Transformer Prime is not only ASUS's first quad-core tablet, but will most likely be the first Tegra 3, quad-core tablet to hit the market. It rocks a 10.1-inch Super IPS LCD display with 1280 x 800 resolution that's protected with Gorilla Glass, has 1GB of RAM, 32GB/64GB internal storage, an 8MP camera that shoots 1080p Full HD video and will run on Android 3.2 Honeycomb. Not to worry because ASUS claims that an ICS update will arrive in the near future. There is still no telling when the device will be released but you can expect shipping to happen before years end.
Head on over to Amazon to pre-order the sweetest Android tablet of 2011.
