Surprise surprise, it turns out that the US LTE version of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is going to be slightly thicker than its GSM version overseas. What did you all expect with LTE radios on board? Frankly, I'm surprised it's not even thicker. Via their website, Google posted the full specs of the Verizon bound Galaxy Nexus and it turns out that the handset will come in at 9.47 mm thick while the GSM version touts a thinness of 8.94 mm. Is a .53 mm delta all that noticeable? I sure hope not. Just to compare against other high-end models, the Droid Bionic is 10.16 mm, the Droid Razr at only a mere 7.1 mm and the HTC Rezound a whopping 13.7 mm thick. So in keeping things in perspective, it shouldn't be a deal breaker for anyone and you shouldn't notice that much of a difference from its GSM counterpart. Other than that, the only other note worthy spec is its battery. Vz's version will house an 1850 mAh battery, which is generous by our standards. We'll take the slight increase considering how power hungry LTE radios can be. So, in light of this info, are you still going to purchase one? Feel free to leave a comment or two below.

Why would I leave a network that has great coverage everywhere I am and travel to go to a network that does not coverage everywhere I go? Plus the fact that I am grandfathered in unlimited data, if I switch, I lose that benefit.
Beside, as much as Verizon is dragging their feet on the Nexus, they are getting it before T-Mobile

Yes I still want one… Doesn’t matter to me if the phone is .5mm thicker than the GSM model…. Hey… a hair thicker for the better 4g network is a win win in my mind
