Lovers of the Need For Speed franchise will be happy to know that the latest version is available now, but unfortunately to owners of the Xperia PLAY as an exclusive. Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit is now available through the on board games section. Everyone else can take a look at the video below, and hopefully soon it will be available to all. No word on how long the exclusive will last, but we are hoping it will be a short one.

I saw this pop-up on my device (the Xperia PLAY has a “game” menu called “Xperia PLAY” that links to games already installed, and additional games that have been optimized for the device, but not yet downloaded) and it certainly looks interesting… THe downside however, is that this is only available from Electronic Arts’ Web site at the time of writing (i.e. it’s not available throught the Android Market).
