Samsung's One UI 9 update, built on Android 17, has now started rolling out to 28 Galaxy phones, from the Galaxy S26 down to the Galaxy A27. If you have a Galaxy S23, S24, S25 or S26 model, you're covered, unless it's the Galaxy S23 FE. Here's the full list, who's still waiting, and one bug worth knowing about.

Every Galaxy Phone That Has Started Getting One UI 9

This list combines the device trackers kept by 9to5Google and Sammy Fans, both updated on October 20. Every phone below has started receiving the stable version of One UI 9, not a beta.

Galaxy S series (15 phones)

  • Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra
  • Galaxy S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, S25 Edge and S25 FE
  • Galaxy S24, S24+, S24 Ultra and S24 FE
  • Galaxy S23, S23+ and S23 Ultra

Galaxy Z series (8 phones)

  • Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7 and Z Flip 7 FE
  • Galaxy Z TriFold
  • Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6
  • Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5

Galaxy A series (5 phones)

  • Galaxy A57, A56, A37, A36 and A27

Being on the list doesn't mean your phone has the update today. Samsung releases One UI 9 in waves, by country, carrier and model, so two people with the same Galaxy can get it weeks apart.

Where the US Rollout Stands

US owners started seeing One UI 9 in late September. The Galaxy S26 got it first on T-Mobile, through Samsung's beta program, before Metro by T-Mobile and US Cellular models followed, according to Sammy Fans.

In early October, the Galaxy S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 started receiving the update in the US on both carrier and unlocked models, Android Authority reported, with builds spotted on AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon. Sammy Fans reported on October 12 that unlocked US versions of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 had joined them. The global rollout for the Galaxy S23 family started on October 21.

How to Check if Your Galaxy Has the Update

You don't have to wait for the notification. To check manually:

  1. Open Settings on your Galaxy phone.
  2. Tap Software update.
  3. Tap Download and install.

If nothing shows up, Samsung hasn't opened the rollout for your model, country or carrier yet. Plug in your charger and connect to Wi-Fi before you start, because the download is big. On the Galaxy S25 Ultra, owners reported a package of around 3.9GB, according to Android Authority.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra Bug Samsung Has Confirmed

Samsung has acknowledged a bug that leaves some Galaxy S26 Ultra units stuck on the initial setup screen, where the final step won't finish. According to Sammy Fans, the problem is tied to Samsung Account on certain carriers and seems limited to South Korea for now.

Samsung says the fix will come in the next over-the-air update, without giving a date. In the meantime, switching from mobile data to Wi-Fi gets past the frozen screen. If your phone is working normally, don't reset it until the fix is out.

Is Your Phone Still Waiting?

A long list of Galaxy phones is next in line. SammyGuru's One UI 9 tracker shows the Galaxy A15 5G, A16 5G, A25, A35, A54 and A55 in public beta, the step that usually comes before a stable release. The Galaxy S23 FE is also on track for the update, but Samsung hasn't given a timeline.

One group is out of luck: the same tracker lists the Galaxy S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra as not getting One UI 9.

So if you own a Galaxy S23 or newer, a recent foldable or one of Samsung's newer A-series phones, One UI 9 is either on your phone already or on its way. It's worth a quick look in Settings today.
