I was already familiar with ELEHEAR's Beyond Pro, so when I got the opportunity to test the new Beyond 2 Pro, I was really interested in seeing what had actually changed. On paper, there are quite a few upgrades, but specifications don't always tell you what may feel different once you're actually wearing it.
The Beyond 2 Pro keeps the same general idea behind the Beyond series, but ELEHEAR has worked on the areas that matter when you're using hearing aids every day. They're lighter, sit flatter behind the ear, give you more control over how things sound, and they introduce the new VOCCLEAR® 3.0 processing. There are also some more useful additions, such as IP67 protection, replaceable receivers, and Auracast™.
After testing the Beyond 2 Pro myself, here's my final verdict.
Unboxing the Beyond 2 Pro
When I opened the box, everything was neatly laid out, and there was plenty included to help me get the fit right.
Inside, I found:
- Two Beyond 2 Pro hearing aids
- Charging case
- USB-C charging cable
- Closed, open, power, and tulip ear domes in multiple sizes
- Wax guards
- Spare pair of longer receiver wires
The size M closed domes come fitted to the hearing aids, so you can start with those and change them according to the perfect fit for you.
I did like having all the different dome choices available, though. Fit is one of those things that can completely change how comfortable hearing aids are, and having open, closed, power, and tulip options gives you comfort.
There's also a spare set of longer size 3 receiver wires in the box. The standard size 2 wires are fitted initially, but you can swap them if you wear glasses, find the standard wires uncomfortable, or just need some extra length.

Setup and First Use
Setting up the Beyond 2 Pro was really easy.
Before using them for the first time, I put both hearing aids into the charging case and gave everything a full charge. The hearing aids take around 1.5 hours to charge, while charging the complete case can take up to 2.5 hours.
Once you take the hearing aids out of the case, they automatically turn on and enter pairing mode. I connected them through Bluetooth and then used the ELEHEAR companion app for the rest of the setup and adjustments.
The left and right hearing aids are also easy enough to tell apart. The left has a blue receiver with an L, and the right has a red one with an R.
Once everything was connected, I could start playing around with the sound settings, which is where the Beyond 2 Pro becomes much more interesting.
Comfort & Fit
This was one of the first differences I noticed.
Each Beyond 2 Pro hearing aid weighs 4.3g, compared with 4.8g for the Beyond Pro. ELEHEAR has also made the body smaller and flatter so that it sits closer behind your ear.
Half a gram doesn't sound like much, but hearing aids aren't something you wear for ten minutes at a time. They're designed to stay on your ears throughout the whole day, so small changes to the weight and shape make a difference.
I wore the Beyond 2 Pro for extended periods while testing it, and the lighter, flatter shape is really comfortable. It doesn't feel bulky, and I like that ELEHEAR has concentrated on making it more discreet rather than completely changing a design that already worked.
Finding the right dome is important, though. If your own voice sounds too boomy or echo-like, the open or tulip domes allow for more ventilation. If you experience whistling or prefer stronger bass, the closed or power domes may suit you better.
As a person who wears glasses, I also tried the replaceable receiver system. The receivers pull straight out of the hearing aid body, and the replacement clicks back into position. You do need to make sure you're putting the correct receiver on each side (blue for the left and red for the right), but otherwise it's quite straightforward.
Sound Quality & VOCCLEAR® 3.0
This is where I was most interested to see what the Beyond 2 Pro could do.
The hearing aids use ELEHEAR's new VOCCLEAR® 3.0, its proprietary AI speech enhancement algorithm developed entirely in-house. It works in real time to reduce background noise and enhance speech, especially when you're trying to follow conversations in more challenging environments.
VOCCLEAR® 3.0 builds on VOCCLEAR® 2.0's wide frequency response and dedicated Music Mode, but introduces upgraded DNN-based noise reduction and enhanced speech processing.
The whole point is to help focus on the voice you're trying to hear from everything happening around it, as background noise can be a major issue.
In Quiet Environments
In a quiet room, you don't really need aggressive noise reduction, so this was more about getting the overall sound where I wanted it.
This is where I spent some time experimenting with the new Balanced Sound Control. Rather than having to accept one overall sound profile, I could adjust the bass, mid, and treble independently.
That made it much easier for me to find a balance I liked instead of simply making everything brighter, deeper, or louder.
In Busy Environments
I tested the Beyond 2 Pro with competing sounds around me in a restaurant rather than judging it solely in a quiet room. The DNN-based processing is designed specifically to reduce steady background sounds such as traffic, HVAC hum, and restaurant ambience while preserving speech detail.
Having the two directional microphones working alongside the AI processing also helps with capturing speech rather than just amplifying everything around you.
ELEHEAR's internal testing found 39% improved speech clarity under extremely noisy conditions compared with the previous generation. I obviously wasn't sitting in a laboratory measuring percentages while I tested them, but I could see why separating speech from everything happening around it has been such a big focus for this generation.
Feedback
Feedback suppression has also been improved.
ELEHEAR recorded a 32% faster feedback suppression response in its internal testing compared with the previous generation.
Again, that's ELEHEAR's measured figure rather than mine, but controlling feedback quickly is particularly important when you're changing fit and sound settings, so it's good to see attention being given to it.
Balanced Sound Control
I spent quite a bit of time with Balanced Sound Control because it's one of the Beyond 2 Pro features I also enjoyed playing around with.
Inside the companion app, you can independently adjust bass, mid, and treble rather than having to settle for one fixed sound profile.
Increasing the treble can make things sound brighter and help bring voices forward. Changing the mids can help voices sound more natural, and adding bass can give the audio a deeper and fuller sound.
The important part for me is that you're not forced to change everything together.
I could set things one way for conversation and then change the balance when listening to music. Hearing needs don't necessarily affect every frequency in exactly the same way, so having more control over individual parts of the sound makes a lot more sense than having only one setting for everything.
Music, Podcasts & Streaming
I also tested the Beyond 2 Pro with music and general Bluetooth streaming rather than using them just as normal hearing aids.
The new model has a 24kHz sample rate, up from 16kHz on the Beyond Pro, and keeps the extended 125–8,500Hz frequency range.
VOCCLEAR® 3.0 also retains the dedicated Music Mode from VOCCLEAR® 2.0, and the richer audio processing is designed to improve music, calls, podcasts, and other streaming.
Balanced Sound Control came in handy here. The settings I preferred for normal conversation weren't necessarily the settings I wanted when listening to music, so I liked being able to change the bass, mid, and treble rather than settling for one compromise.
ELEHEAR's internal testing recorded a 17% relative improvement in music performance compared with the previous generation.
Bluetooth 5.3 handles regular streaming, and the Beyond 2 Pro supports music streaming on both iOS and Android.
Phone Calls
I also used the Beyond 2 Pro for calls during testing. Bluetooth means the audio can come through the hearing aids rather than having to switch over to another device every time the phone rings.
The richer audio processing also extends to calls, so you don’t have to take the Beyond 2 Pro off whenever you want to use your phone.
That's important to me. If something is supposed to stay on your ears throughout the day, constantly swapping between hearing aids and earbuds won’t work for me.
Noise Reduction
The Beyond 2 Pro offers up to 24dB of noise reduction and uses two directional microphones.
What I like about this approach is that the goal isn't to make the world quieter.
VOCCLEAR® 3.0 is designed to reduce background noise while enhancing speech. The newly designed DNN-based noise reduction targets steady sounds such as traffic, restaurant ambience, and HVAC hum while trying to preserve the speech detail you actually want to hear.
For me, this is the area where the Beyond 2 Pro's upgraded processing matters much more than simply seeing “VOCCLEAR® 3.0” written on the box.
Auracast™ A New Innovation
Auracast™ is one of the new additions, although it's also something that depends heavily on where you're using the hearing aids.
The easiest way I can describe it is a little like public Wi-Fi, but for audio.
Auracast™ is a Bluetooth broadcast technology that allows one compatible source, such as a TV, PA system, or venue audio system, to send sound to multiple nearby compatible devices without pairing with each one individually.
For someone wearing the Beyond 2 Pro, that means a compatible airport, theater, train station, lecture hall, house of worship, or another public venue can send its audio directly to the hearing aids.
Instead of trying to make out a gate announcement or presenter over everything happening around you, you can listen to the compatible broadcast directly through your own device.
Joining a broadcast works a little like connecting to Wi-Fi. Compatible devices scan for nearby Auracast™ broadcasts, and you select the one you want.
I can see this being popular in large, echoey spaces where announcements can be difficult to make out. You also get individual control over your volume instead of having to rely on one setting intended for everyone in the room.
There is one thing worth knowing, though. Auracast™ is still in an early stage of adoption.
Device support is currently uneven, and the international IEC standard for Auracast™ installations isn't expected until late 2027. For now, it works alongside existing accessibility systems such as hearing loops rather than replacing them.
What I do like is that the Beyond 2 Pro already has Auracast™ built in.
IP67 Water & Dust Resistance
Another upgrade I was happy to see is IP67 water and dust resistance.
I wore the Beyond 2 Pro during normal daily activities, on the beach, and in moist areas, and I don’t feel the need to protect them from every bit of moisture.
An IP67-rated enclosure can withstand complete submersion in up to one meter of water for more than 30 minutes, but I wouldn't deliberately test that claim by jumping into a swimming pool or the ocean with them.
ELEHEAR specifically recommends thinking of the rating as protection that keeps up with an active day, not treating the Beyond 2 Pro as something you'd take swimming. Salt water can still cause it to fail.
So, sweat during a workout, dust on a hike, or getting caught in some rain? That's the sort of everyday protection the rating is there for.
Swimming in the sea? Definitely not! (I wouldn’t test this theory either).
Battery Life
ELEHEAR lists around 20 hours of normal hearing-aid use on a single charge and around 15 hours of pure streaming. The separate specifications list around 18 hours per charge when Bluetooth streaming and calls are involved, so actual battery life will depend on how you're using the hearing aids.
During my testing, I used them as hearing aids as well as for Bluetooth features and I must say the battery held well.
The charging case provides approximately four additional charges, which helps a lot if you're travelling or don't want to plug the case in every night.
The hearing aids take around 1.5 hours to charge, while the complete charging case takes approximately 2.5 hours.
Real-Time AI Translation
The Beyond 2 Pro also includes real-time AI translation across 20 languages.
It's not necessarily the feature everybody will use every day, but I can see the appeal if you travel regularly or often speak with people in different languages.
It's one of those extras that isn't the reason I would choose the Beyond 2 Pro, but it adds another useful function to these nifty little hearing aids.
Build Quality & Everyday Use
After wearing and handling the Beyond 2 Pro during testing, the biggest physical change for me is the smaller, flatter body.
The design isn't trying to look dramatically different just so ELEHEAR can call it a new generation. The changes are more focused on making something that's already small easier to live with.
I love the fact that the receivers can be replaced. Having the option to swap them yourself, with different lengths available for different ear shapes and fit preferences, makes the hearing aids much more flexible.
The Beyond 2 Pro also comes in Silver, Gold, and Brown, with Brown being the newest color option.
Beyond 2 Pro vs. Beyond Pro

I wouldn’t say the Beyond 2 Pro is a hearing aid for somebody with more hearing loss. Both are options for adults with mild-to-moderate hearing needs.
The difference leads to the experience you want.
Having used both, I think the Beyond 2 Pro is the better option if you want the newer VOCCLEAR® 3.0 processing, Balanced Sound Control, a lighter fit, IP67 protection, replaceable receivers, and Auracast™.
The Beyond Pro still isn’t a bad choice because a newer model is coming out. It is still a proven everyday option. The Beyond 2 Pro just takes the same platform and gives you a more refined and personalized experience.
Who Is the Beyond 2 Pro Best For?
After testing it, I'd recommend looking at the Beyond 2 Pro if:
- You have mild-to-moderate hearing needs
- You regularly struggle to separate conversations from background noise
- You want more control over bass, mid, and treble
- You listen to music, podcasts, or calls through your hearing aids
- Comfort and weight matter for all-day wear
- You have an active lifestyle and want IP67 protection
- You want replaceable receivers
- You want Auracast™ support as compatible public spaces become more common
The Beyond 2 Pro is FDA-registered and safe for daily use, while its lightweight design and range of ear dome options are designed to provide a comfortable fit for most users.
Since everyone's hearing needs are different, ELEHEAR recommends starting at a lower gain setting and gradually adjusting it until you find a comfortable level with the clarity you need.

Final Verdict
After testing the Beyond 2 Pro, what stood out to me wasn't one particular feature, but how all the smaller upgrades work together to improve an already good product.
The lighter, flatter design is excellent, and the Balanced Sound Control works well, too. VOCCLEAR® 3.0 is the main technical upgrade, with IP67 protection and replaceable receivers adding some genuinely useful everyday improvements.
Auracast™ is more future-focused since public adoption is still growing. I may not need it everywhere right now, but I'd rather have it now instead of waiting for the world to catch up.
Would I throw my Beyond Pro in a drawer and never look at it again? Absolutely not. It's still a very capable hearing aid.
But having used both, I'd choose the Beyond 2 Pro for its lighter fit, greater sound control, and extra features. Thanks for reading!
