Most power banks compete on the same three numbers: capacity, wattage, charging speed. Vention is making a different argument at IFA Berlin, that portable power should look and feel like a product people actually want to carry, not a black plastic brick.

The Vention H Series is built around an ultra-slim 6.9mm profile housing a 5,000mAh solid-liquid hybrid battery, the same battery technology found in flagship smartphones, finished in a Burgundy Dusk dual-tone metallic colorway designed to complement the iPhone 18. Vention says it passed a 135°C hot-box test for 60 minutes with no combustion and a 4mm tungsten steel puncture test with zero sparking or smoking. A companion app shows real-time temperature, current, capacity, and battery health.
The Dash Pro Series charger runs on 140W GaN 5.0 technology and introduces what Vention calls the EnergyCore platform, translating charging data into five animated, color-coded emoji states running from sleepy to calm to happy to excited to warning, giving an at-a-glance read on what's happening without opening an app. It also includes smart device recognition, automatic power optimization, and a reinforced foldable plug for travel.
Why it matters
The safety testing claims and real-time monitoring app are the more substantive part of this pitch, addressing the “black box anxiety” that comes with trusting an opaque power bank near a phone or laptop overnight. The emoji-based charging feedback is a genuine attempt at making charging status legible without technical knowledge, whether that reads as useful or gimmicky will depend on how it holds up in daily use.
