OnePlus is transitioning to a more online-focused outlet with fewer launches globally, particularly in the mid-range and premium mid-range segments.
The change runs broad enough that Realme's India CEO Michael Guo stepped down as Oppo merges its brands closer into the ecosystem. But OnePlus users in India are lucky, as OnePlus has launched the N6. Here's what it looks like.
OnePlus N6 is a radiant budget option
The OnePlus N6 has a design reminiscent of the newer models like the OnePlus 15. The rear camera module is a distinctive square-shaped island sitting in the top left corner. It houses the dual rear cameras and an LED flash, with the OnePlus logo centered lower on the back panel.
It's available in two colorways, including deep Midnight Green with a matte, almost charcoal-like finish, and a lighter Fresh Mint shade with a soft, pastel green tone and a glossy finish.

The phone comes in two storage configurations of 4GB RAM with 128GB storage and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage. It runs OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16, and is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex chip.
It's a slightly upgraded version of the Dimensity 6300 SoC, and is appearing on a smartphone in India for the first time. Beyond that, it's not a particularly powerful chip. It's paired with an ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.
The display is a 6.8-inch LCD panel with HD+ resolution at 1570×720 pixels, 254 PPI pixel density, a 90.40% screen-to-body ratio, and a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz. Brightness is at 975 nits typical, and it climbs to 1200 nits in high brightness mode.
There's a single 50MP sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and autofocus and it's capable of 1080p video at 60fps on the 6GB variant. It comes with dual-view video shooting and up to 10x digital zoom. The front camera is 8MP with an f/2.0 aperture.

Battery capacity is 8,000mAh with 45W SuperVOOC fast charging, rated for around 15 hours of gaming, 25 hours of YouTube playback, or 60 hours of calls on a single charge. It also supports 5W reverse wired charging. Typical smartphones usually have between 4,500 to 5,500mAh.
Charging at 45W is also solid for that size. Not the fastest on the market, but it’s a sensible balance so it doesn’t cook the battery over time.
The phone carries MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability certification. It has been tested against a US military standard for ruggedness, covering resistance to drops, extreme temperatures, humidity, dust, vibration, and shock.
