Google has rolled out its June Pixel Drop, bringing a new batch of features to Pixel devices alongside Android 17 and Wear OS 7. Android 17 itself is now stable and officially rolling out to Pixel 6 and later devices.

The source code will soon be pushed to the Android Open Source Project, which should enable Samsung, OnePlus, and other manufacturers to start building their own Android skins on top of it. For now, here's what to expect.

These are the latest features to hit your Pixel

Google's June 2026 Pixel Drop introduces Screen reactions. It's a green-screen-style selfie overlay into screen recording. Swipe down twice on Quick Settings and tapping the recording icon brings up a toggle for “Show selfie camera.”

The front-facing camera will now capture you in real time on top of the screen recording, with the background automatically cut out so no physical green screen is needed. You can tap the selfie window, and drag and resize it while recording.

Gemini Omni 2 is now also here to transform video creations and editing into a conversation with Gemini. You  can blend text, images, and video together by describing what you want.

The feature supports starting a project from nothing, remixing existing photos and videos already sitting in the camera roll, or working from a premade template. It also includes the ability to generate a custom AI avatar that looks and sounds like you, which you can then drop into a video.

Gemini 3 will let you generate music. You'll describe an idea in words or upload a photo to make a full, original audio track complete with lyrics.

Other features included in the Pixel Drop

  • Bubbles: a feature that turns any app into a compact floating window sitting on top of whatever else is open. You'll long-press an app icon to access it. Pixel 10 Pro Fold users get a dedicated bubble bar for tapping between apps.
  • Voice Translate: A real-time speech-to-speech call translation tool now coming to the Pixel 10a, supporting English alongside German, Spanish, French, Italian, and Portuguese, with Hindi in preview.
  • Quick Share: it now interoperates with AirDrop on the Pixel 8a and 9a, letting those phones share files directly with iPhones and Macs.
  • Magic Cue: Google's contextual suggestion engine is coming to Snapchat conversations within the next few weeks.
  • Take a Message: it transcribes voicemails in real time and generates AI-suggested next steps after a missed call. It's now expanding to more markets and gaining Custom Greetings for personalized outgoing messages.
  • Manual Call Screen: It's now live in India. Users can tap “Screen call” so Call Assist can ask an unknown caller their name and reason for calling.
  • Emergency Sharing: It's now integrated into Car Crash Detection, Fall Detection, and Loss of Pulse Detection, so a detected emergency calls emergency services and notifies chosen contacts simultaneously.
  • Edit with Ask Photos: A conversational, Gemini-powered photo editor now expanding to the UK, Germany, France, Spain, and Italy. It handles both quick touch-ups and multi-step edits through natural language requests.
