Back in March, leaks surfaced predicting the OnePlus Pad 4 would launch in June with a 12-inch display, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip, and around 12,000mAh battery capacity.
Several blogs, including Android Authority and GSMArena, have hands-on access to the tablet. The Pad 4 is launching April 30th, and here are the confirmed specifications.
Pad 4 launch is largely the same as Pad 3
OnePlus Pad 4 uses the same 13.2-inch LCD panel carried over from the Pad 3, with a 3K resolution, Dolby Vision support, and a 100nit increment to the brightness. Although much improved, LCD technology is hard to justify in a flagship tablet at this time when many manufacturers are using OLED panels.
The design is also similar, except the pogo pins have moved up to the top edge, far opposite the camera module. On the Pad 3, it was closer to the bottom in the middle.

Reports have it that it's because OnePlus is moving to a cantilever design. On a traditional keyboard folio, the tablet slots into a groove or attaches flat against the back of the keyboard case, which limits how you can position it.
The cantilever approach, which Apple pioneered with their Magic Keyboard Pro for the iPad Pro, allows the tablet to attach magnetically to a floating arm that can tilt freely. You'll be able to push the screen backward or pull it forward to whatever angle works best for you.
That aside, the device uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. The brand says it has improved the cooling solution to give it a 17% larger surface area than the Pad 3 to better manage heat during sustained workloads.

The tablet has a 13,380mAh battery, which is roughly 10% larger than the Pad 3's battery, and it supports 80W wired charging. It's a 1,240mAh difference from the Pad 3's 12,140mAh cell. OnePlus also claims it can last several days on standby on a single charge.
There are eight audio drivers where four are tweeters and the rest are small subwoofers. OxygenOS 16 comes with the device out of the box and brings meaningful multitasking improvements with it. You can now use up to five simultaneous app windows, and combine floating windows and split screen views, among other capabilities.
Pad 4 accessories are sold separately
Two accessories are launching alongside the Pad 4, though both are sold separately. The new Stylo Pro pencil attaches magnetically to the side of the tablet and charges wirelessly, same as before.
The upgrade this time is improved pressure sensitivity up to 16,000 points and a new rubberized tip that should deliver better friction and a more natural writing feel. Yet, it also means the pencil can pick up extremely subtle differences even when you barely touch the tablet screen.

A traditional smooth tip has been included in the box if you prefer it. It should create some resistance and give you more control over your strokes.
Meanwhile, the new keyboard folio uses a cantilever design similar to Apple's Magic Keyboard Pro, which allows it to sit at an angle. As aforementioned, the Pad 4 launches on April 30th at 12 noon International Standard Time (IST) in India. There is currently no confirmed information on availability or pricing for other regions.
Every website is trying to justify this is significant upgrade over pad 3 but finally someone here throwing some light on others face that this is significant downgrade if the price is more then the last year then its surely not worth it
