It seems this is the season when Motorola plays a full ninety on the mobile market field. It was only days ago that leaks revealed renders of the FIFA-themed Razr Fold and Edge 70 Fusion, showing the gold company logo and FIFA branding. The brand then showcased its devices at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026 recently.
Now, they have released an official press statement confirming their partnership around FIFA Heroes, and their larger role as an official smartphone partner tied to the FIFA World Cup 2026.
What is FIFA Heroes?
FIFA Heroes is an unreleased arcade-style mobile football game officially licensed by FIFA. The mobile game introduced 5-a-side matches where players have superpowers, including teleport dribbles, flaming shots, and magnetic tackles.
It includes a mix of real footballers and fictional characters on the same pitch. The game is published by Solace and developed in partnership with NYC-based studio Enver.

As the official smartphone partner for the FIFA World Cup 2026™, Motorola is committed to bringing the excitement of the tournament directly into consumers’ hands. FIFA Heroes delivers on that promise, offering fans innovative, mobile-first experiences that keep them connected to this unique moment in time.
Motorola
Motorola's public announcement confirms that you may get instant access to the game if you buy an upcoming Motorola device. Other than that, there's no confirmed date for the game's release. But if you already use any of their old phones, you’ll get exclusive in-game content that other players won’t.
It's no surprise that this is a marketing play for the Motorola Razr Fold and the broader 2026 lineup. The featured image for the post shows a foldable smartphone fully opened in landscape mode.

On the screen, FIFA Heroes is being played with the football pitch having a slightly futuristic and arcade-like grid pattern overlaying the turf. Several small animated players are visible, but one player is surrounded by a glowing, translucent purple bubble or shield effect.
The Razr Fold widens the pitch with 8-inch display
The Razr Fold itself was officially revealed at the Mobile World Congress 2026, which started on March 2 in Barcelona, Spain. Motorola had teased it earlier at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January held at Las Vegas.
The phone runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip, and its Geekbench scores are 2,681 in single-core and 9,056 in multi-core. The device also features 16GB RAM and 1TB storage.

There is a 6,000mAh battery with fast charging support which is unusual for a foldable, especially because of the Fold’s thinness. Typically, expectations fall between 4,400mAh and 5,000mAh.
Here, the display is a 6.6-inch outer screen and an 8.1-inch inner display when unfolded, and 4.6mm when open and 9.9mm when closed. It features three 50MP rear cameras, including Sony Lytia sensors, plus two selfie cameras.
There is no confirmed release date yet. Motorola only says it’s coming in the next few months. Pricing has only been revealed for the European bundle at €1,999 (≈ $2,321), which includes the Moto Pen Ultra stylus.
