After a blood-soaked 2025—farewell Squid Game, goodbye Pedro Pascal in The Last of Us, salute to Andor—brace yourself: 2026 is set to be another landmark year for TV. Streaming platforms are on a race with themselves, upping the ante with ever more ambitious productions. But which shows will truly steal your remote—or your heart? Here are the 15 must-see series in 2026: which one will blow your mind?

Return of Legends and Daring Endings

  • The Night Manager returns a decade after its acclaimed first season. Tom Hiddleston reprises Jonathan Pine, now MI6’s not-so-high-flying agent living in London as Alex Goodwin. His quiet life is upended by a mercenary encounter, drawing him into a Colombian arms trafficking ring—with Olivia Colman, Indira Varma, and Camila Morrone joining the action. Expect guerrilla training, betrayals, and a race to defuse a national threat.
  • Euphoria finally drops its grand finale after years of anticipation. The core cast—Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Zendaya, Hunter Schafer—are back for a season set five years after the last, exploring adulthood’s harsh illusions and new responsibilities. Artistic ambitions are sky-high (VistaVision, anyone?). Will it be worth the wait? Come April, we'll find out.
  • The Boys prepares to bow out with a (probably explosive) final season. The superhero world’s most irreverent series will wrap up, with big moments promised—and new faces for Supernatural fans. But spin-offs are in the pipeline: Gen V is already out, with Vought Rising and The Boys: Mexico on the horizon.

Expanding Worlds: Game of Thrones and More

  • 2026 is a Game of Thrones buffet: House of the Dragon season 3 escalates Targaryen civil strife—dragon fights, family drama, and the ever-looming question: what if the dragons vanish? Will the series mend fences with George R. R. Martin loyalists after last season’s controversies?
  • Stepping back a century, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms (premiering January 18 on HBO Max) introduces us to Dunk the knight (Peter Claffey) and his squire Egg (Dexter Sol Ansell). No infamous thrones to squabble over this time; instead, Westeros is viewed from social outsiders. Three seasons are planned, inspired by the Dunk & Egg novellas, and George R. R. Martin is hands-on for this one.
  • Buffy the Vampire Slayer: New Sunnydale is on the edge—just a pilot for now, filmed in LA, but already stirring buzz. Nova (Ryan Kiera Armstrong) becomes the latest Slayer 25 years after the old events, aided by recurring guest Sarah Michelle Gellar as a mentor. Oscar-winner Chloé Zhao directs the pilot, declaring her fandom—and that should have old and new Buffy fans ready to grab their stakes.

Bold New Creations & Hit Adaptations

  • The Beauty (Disney+) brings Ryan Murphy’s wildest concept yet: a sexually transmitted virus makes you your “perfect” self—with terrifying consequences. FBI agents (Evan Peters, Rebecca Hall) chase a string of model deaths in Paris, uncovering a tech mogul (Ashton Kutcher) and his lethal drug. Filmed across Paris, Venice, Rome, and NYC, this is Murphy’s so-called “Ozempic culture vision.”
  • Wonder Man (Disney+) reinvents superheroes, following Simon Williams (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) as he battles through Hollywood’s madness to reboot a cult film. Egos, chaos, and unexpected powers abound—with a cameo from Iron Man’s Trevor Slattery (Ben Kingsley).
  • Lanterns emerges as Damon Lindelof’s (Lost, Watchmen) bold take on DC’s Green Lantern mythos, starring Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre. Think cosmic cop drama—with high hopes based on Lindelof's previous Watchmen reinvention.
  • Blade Runner 2099 extends the sci-fi legend, this time under original film director Ridley Scott. Cora (Hunter Schafer) teams up with Olwen, a dying replicant, for her brother’s future. Shot in the renowned Barrandov studios in the Czech Republic, this ten-episode project is as ambitious as they come.
  • One Piece swings back for a second live-action season. Luffy and the Straw Hat crew set sail for Grand Line, facing daring quests and introducing beloved new faces like Tony-Tony Chopper. There’s hope the adaptation’s quality keeps pace with fan—and newcomer—expectations.
  • Bridgerton season 4 splits its story in two parts, centering on the enigmatic Benedict and new character Sophie (Yerin Ha). Romance takes a Cinderella turn—ball gowns, midnight escapes, and the promise of spicy scenes, all set to make 2026 Netflix’s most romantic year yet.

Fans’ Favorites and Spin-Off Mania

  • The Yellowstone universe rides again, even after the main series concluded in 2024. Three new spin-offs await: The Dutton Ranch (focusing on Rip and Beth’s new ranch), Marshals (Kayce Dutton leads a team of lawmen), and The Madison (starring Michelle Pfeiffer as a matriarch uprooted to Montana). More seasons are already ordered for these fresh stories.
  • Stranger Things: Chronicles of 1985 is the first spin-off to debut after the official series finale. An animated show set between seasons two and three, it features all the fan favorites (though voiced by new actors). Expect Hawkins shivers all over again by late summer!
  • Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan turn to a new true crime: Monster: Lizzie Borden focuses on America’s infamous axe-wielder, played by Ella Beatty. Joining her are returning stars like Charlie Hunnam, Vicky Krieps, and Sarah Paulson. For once, the monstrous tradition spotlights a woman, promising a fresh narrative spin.

2026 in TV: So Much to See—So Little Time! Wild concepts, long-awaited conclusions, and massive worlds expand your watchlist to the breaking point. Whether you crave dragons, scandalous ballrooms, cosmic detectives, or mind-bending viruses, this year’s bingeing is going to be legendary. Time to stock up on popcorn—your streaming queue will be anything but empty.
