I was in the market for a home treadmill that could actually handle a proper run. My biggest fear with compact, foldable models is the flimsiness, that dreaded rattle and shake the moment you pick the pace up.

I'm currently training for a 10 km run, and after multiple sessions, including a significant 7 km run, I can confidently say: this machine isn't just “good for a compact treadmill”; it’s genuinely stable, smooth, and far exceeds expectations for its class.
First Impressions & The Assembly Surprise
Straight out of the box, the THERUN felt solid, like very solid! The frame is sturdy, the deck felt substantial, and the running belt was notably wider than many competitors I’ve seen. Nothing about the build suggested “cheap.”
The only warning? The box is heavy and quite large around 50 kg. It’s a definite two-person carry if you want to move it safely.
The biggest pleasant surprise, however, was the setup. This was genuinely one of the easiest treadmill assemblies I've ever tackled. I expected to spend an hour wrestling with bolts and instructions. Instead, from unboxing to being ready to run, it took me about 10 minutes.
My Take on Assembly: Honestly, the process was incredibly easy. It felt like the machine was more or less pre-assembled. I only had to slot a few pieces together and tighten a couple of screws. THERUN clearly designed this for zero hassle, you're unfolding and not really building.
Everyday Use: The Real Test
This is where the THERUN earned its 9/10 rating.
Running Quality & Deck Size
I was initially concerned the 43.3″ x 16.5″ belt might feel a little narrow for my natural stride, but that wasn't the case at all. I was able to settle into a comfortable pace and complete a 7-kilometer run with no issues. The length and width are perfectly generous for a compact model.
The running experience is aided by the shock absorption system (a combination of internal and external cushioning). It does an excellent job of reducing joint impact, making the run feel softer than the pavement outside.
Stability: The Standout Feature
This is the whole reason to buy this treadmill. The stability is truly impressive for a foldable home machine. Even at higher speeds, the deck felt absolutely planted. Motor, Speed, and Incline
The 3.0 HP motor is smooth and reliable. It handles speeds up to 15 km/h (9 mph) without any slipping or hesitation. The top speed I ran however was 12 km/h.
The incline function also seems good, while this is something I tested for a short period as I prefer running on the flat. The automatic incline levels (which I believe goes up to 12% on the display) transition smoothly and add a serious challenge to any workout, and it's something I want to use more of as time goes on.
Controls and Thoughtful Design
The control panel is bright, clear, and easy to read even when you're moving fast. It displays the essential stats: speed, time, distance, incline, and calories in a clean layout. You can't really go wrong with the controls.
A Small, But Great Feature: I really appreciated how the machine handles stopping. When you press pause or stop, the belt slows down gradually, rather than coming to a sudden, jarring halt. It's a small detail, but it feels safe and well-designed, a nice piece of engineering that shows attention to the user experience.
What Could Be Better
Honestly, there is very little to criticize given the price point and compact nature.
The only real omission is Bluetooth/app connectivity. It’s not a dealbreaker, as all the essential features are present, but it would have been a great bonus for syncing with fitness apps or for audio.
Bottom Line: The Upgrade You Need
The THERUN Incline Treadmill is a powerful, well-built, and surprisingly stable treadmill that is perfect for a home setting. It’s quiet, the motor is smooth, and the quick 10-minute assembly process means you can be running almost immediately. If you’re upgrading from a basic, shaky model, the difference in stability and run quality is huge.
It's easily one of the strongest performers in its category.
