GTA Online’s Halloween event brings back the Adversary Modes that players have adored. These include game modes with separate teams that go against each other in horror settings. One of the best modes that players enjoyed was the Slasher matches. For this year, players can hunt or hide in the Ramius Submarine. In the pitch black darkness, here are some important tips to help you survive or hunt down teams.

🤔How Does Slasher Work?

The Slasher Adversary Mode involves two teams against each other. The first is The Hunted. The Hunted team has 4 players. When in this team, you are being actively hunted by the Slasher, who is a team of a single player. For a short while, your team is only equipped with a flashlight as you traverse the dark and mysterious Ramius Submarine. However, eventually, your team will receive weapons to defend yourselves against the Slasher. To win, at least one person must survive the match or defeat the Slasher. Some players consider starting a fresh GTA Online account to try different strategies or experiences through U7BUY. If you explore third-party options, be sure to stay within Rockstar’s terms and guidelines.
Meanwhile, when playing as the Slasher, you are the main killer in the match. To win, you must kill all players in The Hunted team hiding around the Ramius Submarine. You’re equipped with a weapon automatically, but don’t get too cocky! You’re completely alone, and you must be careful not to die if you wish to win. Kill all The Hunted members before time runs out, and the match is yours!
🎯Tips for Playing as The Hunted

Since The Hunted team is far larger than the Slasher, you’ll be playing this role far more often. However, while you have more leeway by having teammates to rely on a bit, it may be stressful not knowing what to do or where to go. First, be careful with your flashlight. While it helps light your way, if the Slasher is nearby, then they’ll see you a lot easier. This can be deadly at the start of matches when you’re helpless, so try not to have your flashlight always on.
When it comes to hiding, there are a few tricks you can pull. Pay attention to corners. Corners that you find around the map can be great places to crouch and hide in the dark. You can even bait the Slasher if playing with a friend. You can have your friend ambush the Slasher while they’re busy finding or chasing you.

So, what do you do if the Slasher has found you? If you don’t have a weapon, then run! Make sure to run around corners and tight corridors to throw the Slasher off your trail. Running in a straight line can make it easy for the Slasher to simply shoot you from afar. Otherwise, with a weapon equipped, don’t hold back from attacking. One kill is all you need to win, and ambushing the Slasher with multiple teammates will heavily increase those chances.
Finally, this is more of a general tip, but if you’re unsure of the new map and are overwhelmed by the new environment and darkness, then use your mini-map as a special guide. This will help alleviate some stress and let you quickly see the corridors, corners, and possible hiding spots around you immediately. Truly learning the map takes time and experience, but the mini-map will do the job well at the beginning.
🏹Tips for Playing as The Slasher

If you’re put in the role as The Slasher, odds are that you’re a bit intimidated by the playstyle. After all, you only have yourself to worry about, which adds more pressure when trying to win and hunt down the other team. Even though you’re equipped with a weapon from the start, you aren’t safe from being attacked and losing the match at the start. Thankfully, there are a few tip to help you feel more comfortable.

When The Hunted gain weapons, or if there are multiple targets ahead, taking them out quickly is necessary for securing a win and a quick getaway. This is essential to keep in mind, since you’re also timed on how soon you kill all Hunted members, so saving time is incredibly important, too. The Hunted may also be wearing Heavy Utility Vests, but headshots will naturally negate this added defense.
Finally, and probably most importantly, always check your corners and corridors. It’s so easy for The Hunted to simply kill you and win, so it can sometimes feel like you’re the prey rather than the hunter. For added safety, and sometimes even easy kills, get in the habit of checking hallways or doorways to clear an area. You never know who’s lingering in the dark.
