OPPO has taken the wraps off the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro for global markets, promising a leap in imaging, endurance, and day-to-day smoothness. The launch lands on October 28, 2025, in Barcelona, with new flat displays, slimmer bezels, and colorways that look as premium as the spec sheets read. Let's take a look at how the new phones improve upon 2024's rather excellent Find X8 Pro.
Design & Display

Both phones adopt flat, ultra-slim 1.15 mm symmetric bezels and matte finishes for grip. The Find X9 comes in Titanium Grey, Space Black, Velvet Red with a compact 6.59-inch panel; the Find X9 Pro scales to 6.78-inch while keeping that uniform, minimal-bezel look. Pro buyers can pick Silk White or Titanium Charcoal.
Key display claims include up to 3,600 nits peak outdoor brightness, 10-bit color, HDR certifications, LTPO 1–120Hz (Pro), and 2160Hz PWM dimming (Pro) for low-light comfort. Both use 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanners. (Specs drawn from OPPO’s materials.)
“Power that lasts: The Find X9 Pro’s 7,500 mAh silicon-carbon battery keeps going for up to two days, retaining 80% capacity even after five years of use.”
Performance

Under the hood, the duo debuts MediaTek’s 3nm Dimensity 9500, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. OPPO’s Trinity Engine aims to keep frame rates steady while trimming power draw in heavy apps and games.
Battery & charging

This is the headline: Find X9 = 7,025 mAh, Find X9 Pro = 7,500 mAh. OPPO’s third-gen silicon-carbon battery targets up to two days of typical use and 80% capacity after five years. You get 80W SUPERVOOC wired, 50W AIRVOOC wireless, plus up to 55W USB-PD with third-party chargers. No Qi2 wireless charging, unfortunately.
If you live somewhere chilly, cold-weather charging is reliable down to -20°C, according to OPPO.
Cameras

Unlike OnePlus, OPPO continues its Hasselblad collaboration across both models with the Hasselblad Master Camera System and the in-house LUMO Image Engine for denoising, tone, and parallel processing. The Find X9 Pro steps up to a groundbreaking 200MP Hasselblad periscope telephoto (f/2.1, 1/1.56″) with 10 cm close-focus for tele-macro, lossless-quality zoom up to 13.2×, and support for an OPPO × Hasselblad Teleconverter accessory.
Video is equally serious: 4K/60 Dolby Vision on all cameras, with 4K/120 available on the primary (and Pro’s telephoto), plus LOG with ACES for pro color workflows. Concert-friendly touches include Stage Mode and AI Sound Focus from a four-mic array.
“Zoom like a pro: OPPO’s Hasselblad Teleconverter adds true 10× optical reach to the Find X9 Pro’s 200 MP telephoto, delivering crisp, detailed shots from incredible distances.”
Hasselblad Teleconverter: true optical reach, not just crop magic

One of the most interesting accessories arriving with the Find X9 Pro is the OPPO × Hasselblad Teleconverter. This precision-built clip-on lens adds 3.28× optical magnification to the phone’s 200 MP f/2.1 periscope telephoto. Instead of relying on digital crops, this converter extends genuine optical zoom to 10× (≈230 mm equivalent) before any computational enhancement kicks in. The result is sharper texture and cleaner color at long range — whether you’re capturing wildlife, stadium moments, or your favorite band from the back row.

Combined with OPPO’s LUMO Image Engine, you can still push beyond that optically to 200× photo zoom and 50× video zoom without the usual mush. In typical Hasselblad fashion, it’s built from metal, styled like a miniature camera lens, and designed to feel as premium as the images it helps you capture.
ColorOS 16: AI-forward and genuinely useful

Beyond the hardware, ColorOS 16 brings a wave of quality-of-life upgrades:
- Flux Home Screen with Adaptive Folder & Adaptive Icon resizing; layouts flow around large/tall/wide folders with smooth animations via the new Luminous Rendering Engine.
- Next-level personalization: Motion Photo lock-screen depth effects, video wallpapers, full-screen Always-On Display, smarter font/layout suggestions, and glanceable mini-widgets.
- OPPO AI Hub centralizes features like AI Writer, AI Recorder (speaker labels, summaries, export to PDF/Word), AI Portrait Glow, AI Unblur/Eraser/Reflection Remover, and 4K Motion Photo tools (collages, slow-mo, Instagram sharing).
- AI Mind Space: swipe up with three fingers or use the Snap Key (on Find X9 series) to save anything on-screen into a unified, searchable vault; it can parse dates on posters and suggest calendar events—no photo required.

- Personal Knowledge Integration with Google Gemini (from Nov 2025): let Gemini reason over your private Mind Space to, say, build an itinerary using saved notes and the live weather.
- Snap Key + Gemini flow: save on the left, ask on the right—nice.
- Connectivity suite: refreshed O+ Connect for Mac & Windows with screen mirroring (up to five phone apps controllable from your PC), Remote PC Control from the phone, and Touch to Share between OPPO devices.
“Smarter than ever: ColorOS 16 introduces AI Mind Space, Gemini integration, and a full-screen AOD — turning the Find X9 series into an intelligent daily assistant.”

Early take

What stands out: the huge batteries without bloating the frames, the Pro’s 200MP f/2.1 telephoto with tele-macro and long reach, and a ColorOS 16 update that’s more than surface-level—AI Mind Space + Gemini could be a genuine daily driver combo for research, planning, and capture-to-action workflows
Watch-outs: we’ll need real-world testing for thermal behavior under 4K/120 and how often the camera leans on “lossless-quality” crops versus optical. But on paper, this is OPPO’s most complete flagship duo to date.
Verdict
OPPO's Find X9 Pro feels purpose-built for creators and concert-goers, while the Find X9 brings the battery-first flagship formula to a slimmer body. If OPPO’s battery and imaging claims hold, the X9 series could set 2025’s bar for all-day (and then some) Android flagships. One can almost sense Samsung's Galaxy S25 Edge weeping in the corner.
