Honor has officially announced the rollout of MagicOS 10, their custom software based on Android 16. The rollout begins later this month with the Magic V5 and will then expand to the Magic 7 and Magic 6 series, Honor GT Pro, and Honor 400 series.
In November, the update should reach the Magic V3, Vs3, Magic 5 series, and GT 2 Pro tablet. More devices including the Magic V2 line and MagicPad 2 will get it in December.
The rollout finishes in early 2026 with models like the Honor 300, 200, 100, and X-series. Although Honor hasn’t specified an exact date, we’re already in the final week of October. So, the release for the Magic V5 could begin any moment now.

Users on Reddit’s Honor community have mixed feelings about the upcoming MagicOS 10. There are already complaints about lag, poor optimization, and not as much customization as expected, likely from Beta testers. There’s also frustration over the company’s communication, as many global users feel ignored or delayed in receiving updates.

It's a bit ironic, given that Honor’s official message around MagicOS 10 paints it as a big leap forward. The company is reportedly improving the Smart Capsule feature. It's an interactive notification and multitasking tool similar to Apple’s Dynamic Island.

They'll also introduce more AI-driven features, including smarter system behaviors, improved scene recognition, and deeper personalization. Additionally, you can expect new color schemes and layout options.

An improved assistant and MagicOS 11 news
It was only days ago that Honor officially unveiled the Magic 10 software at their Global Developers Conference (HGDC) 2025 in China. They teased their new edge-side AI security system, which can detect deepfakes and synthetic content in real time, even during third-party app calls. It learns new scam patterns and automatically flags risks before you fall victim.
YOYO, the AI assistant, was also reintroduced with new support for over 3,000 automation scenarios with 95% accuracy and complex, multi-step task performance. A Hummingbird Architecture is coming with a kernel lightweight engine that saves storage space on lower-end models.

The UI adopts a Zero-Gravity Transparent Design with fluid wallpapers and dynamic transparency that don’t drain battery life.
MagicOS 10 can now even connect and share data across brands, including iOS, HarmonyOS, and Windows. Your phone can transfer apps or iWork files to an iPhone or send animations to a Mac. It will support tap-to-share for maps and gaming sessions
Honor is also ahead of itself in teasing MagicOS 11, which will further push toward an interface-free experience and possibly launch alongside a new kind of device next year.
