It’s not all that different from the V50, but it’s still impressive.

Vivo has begun the worldwide rollout of its new V60 smartphone. It's debuting first in Malaysia, Taiwan, and Vietnam. The phone leans heavily on its ZEISS partnership to push portrait photography further and the centerpiece is a 50 MP Super Telephoto Camera.

It's built around Sony’s IMX882 sensor that's built to bring distant subjects closer. The V60 also introduces a tougher build than its predecessors as it should and a fast charging battery.

Zeiss-backed triple threat cameras to see the world

The camera is the headline feature on the vivo V60, and it’s obvious that the entire phone was engineered around that single idea. The brand has partnered with ZEISS, one of the world’s oldest and most respected names in optics, and integrated Sony’s IMX882 sensor.

The phone carries a triple-camera setup on the back and a single high-resolution lens on the front. On the rear side is a 50 MP ZEISS OIS main sensor with optical image stabilization and a wide f/1.88 aperture, a 50MP ZEISS super telephoto camera with OIS and a narrower f/2.65 aperture for zoom shots, and an 8MP ZEISS ultra-wide camera with a 120° field of view for wider scenes.

On the front, there’s a 50 MP ZEISS selfie camera with autofocus and a f/2.2 aperture designed to capture group shots. Altogether, the configuration is 50 MP + 50 MP + 8 MP on the rear and 50 MP on the front.

The phone itself looks great. The Vivo V60 has a tall, slim profile with a flat glass front. The screen covers nearly the entire face of the phone, leaving only razor-thin bezels around the edges. At the very top, a small, centered punch-hole houses the selfie camera.

The back is finished in a matte metallic gray. The elongated oval camera module sits on the upper left side and is slightly raised from the surface. Inside are two large black camera rings stacked vertically, with the ZEISS logo printed between them.

To the side, there’s a third smaller lens and a circular LED flash completing the layout. The sides of the phone are smooth and rounded. The Vivo logo sits vertically near the bottom understated but visible.

Great display and impressive specs overall

Besides the camera, the vivo V60 has a quad-curved display with a 41-degree golden curvature intended to reduce hand fatigue and make swipes feel more natural. It’s a 2392 × 1080 resolution AMOLED screen that's HDR10+ certified and has a peak brightness level reaching up to 5000 nits.

Ultra-slim bezels expand the usable screen area, while accidental touch prevention algorithms fine-tune responsiveness so you don’t end up triggering the wrong task.

The phone supports both IP68 and IP69 ratings and can survive being dunked in water up to 1.5 meters deep for two hours, as well as withstand hot, high-pressure sprays. It also supports One-Tap Water Ejection, which should push out trapped water from the speakers or audio chambers after exposure to moisture.

The phone uses the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 platform and it's backed by 12 GB of RAM that you can virtually extend by another 12GB, plus up to 512GB of storage. It runs Funtouch OS 15 out of the box, which is based on Android 15.

Availability and pricing

The Vivo V60 is now available on official website in colors of Berry Purple, Ocean Blue, Summer Blue, Desert Gold, and Mist Gray. The Ocean Blue edition features a Sapphire Tide finish that simulates the look of flowing water.

Pricing starts from ₹41,999 (~$478) for the model with 8GB RAM and 128GB. It's currently discounted at ₹36,999 (~$421).

Vivo says that each version’s costs and the exact specs available will depend on the local market. That means the phone won't be identical everywhere.
