The Google Pixel 10 series is officially launching on August 20, but that day couldn't come sooner. Renders of the phones are already surfacing ahead of time, including close-ups of the Obsidian variant. As expected, Google isn’t changing much this year. The overall design is basically the same, with matteness and glossiness being the theme.
The side rails and overall look reflect surroundings and do look expensive. Google may believe this presentation helps the Pixel 10 Pro stand out on shelves and in marketing images. But that's a controversial topic many people may feel contrary to.
Pixel 10 Pro has elongated camera glass and new colors
If anything has changed about the Pixel 10 Pro’s design, it’s in the color options. Google is keeping the familiar Obsidian and Porcelain finishes with the matte glass back. But it’s introducing two new shades this year. Moonstone is really just a fancy blue, and Jade is a greenish-yellow tone paired with a light gold frame.

As already confirmed, the Tensor G5 is Google’s newest custom-built chip, and it will power everything inside the phone. It’s the successor to last year’s Tensor G4, and while details on performance haven’t been officially released yet, you can expect improvements in speed, efficiency, and machine learning tasks.

Memory options start from 16GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Google is also offering larger storage tiers of 256GB, 512GB, and a massive 1TB version. The phone has a 4,870mAh battery, and pricing is still $999.

Pixel 10 looks stunning in Frosty color
Pixel 10 is also coming out in exclusive renders, with a particular new color called Frost grabbing attention. Frost is a light pastel blue that looks almost silvery, depending on the lighting. Other than that, the phone is much like its Pro sibling, with little design change. The different available colors are Limoncello, Obsidian, and Indigo.

Internally, the base phone will also use a Tensor G5 chip, manufactured on a 3-nanometer process by TSMC. It will come with 12GB of RAM and two storage options of 128GB and 256GB.
It shares a 6.3-inch OLED panel with the Pro model, while the Pro XL phone will have a slightly larger 6.8-inch screen. The camera system includes a 48MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultrawide that's somewhat downgraded from the Pixel 9, and a 10.8MP telephoto lens borrowed from Google’s foldables.

The bar housing all three lenses is larger, and so is it on the Pro model. It's because of the triple-camera setup. It physically requires more space. The battery size is rumored to be around 4,970mAh, and interestingly, it'll support wireless charging without cases. Pricing starts at $799 in the US. In Canada, it starts from $1,099.
Set a reminder for August 20
Globally, the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold phones will launch on August 20. There might be a one-day delay for purchases in regions like India. You can watch the virtual event, which will happen in New York, on YouTube.
