Gingerbread 2.3 for HTC Inspire 4G rolling out 3

HTC started pushing out an update to Gingerbead (Android 2.3.3) for the AT&T Inspire 4G yesterday. You can check for the update now by going to Home>Menu>Settings> AT&T Software Update > HTC Wi-Fi software update > Check now. It's a good idea to make sure your important data is backed up before performing the update. This update will wipe all information from your device (any data on your SD card will be safe and sound).

This system update includes:

Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread

New HTC Sense™ features

Updated Application Tray features

Updated FriendStream™ features

Added Quick Settings in the Notifications window

Improved Power Management function

Improved media experience

Various minor bug fixes

It's nice to see Gingerbread continue to roll out to devices this year and AT&T kept its promise for the Inspire. Let's hope this trend continues across all carriers at a faster pace.

As soon as I updated to 2.3.3, I get “android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly” force close message. I can’t use my phone or people widget…WTH??
