One of the nice things about shopping for a mobile carrier in the US is that there are so many options to choose from. If you don't want to go with one of the big three carriers, there are several MVNOs, smaller carriers that piggyback on the bigger carriers' infrastructure, that you can turn to instead.

Google Fi Wireless is one of those MVNOs, and one major advantage that it has over the big competition is its pricing. Google Fi won't set you back by too much each month, and you can get a discount for the more lines you have. Oh, and right now, you can get an even bigger discount—50%, to be exact—due to an ongoing deal. Let's talk about it.

Google Fi Will Give You 50% Off the Usual Cost of Its Standard or Essentials Plan

Competition in the mobile network sector is hotter than ever, with the available subscribers left to onboard shrinking with each quarter. As a result, carriers need to figure out ways to win existing subscribers away from competitors. One good way to do that is by offering sweet deals, especially for new customers, and that's the route that Google has chosen today.

If you're a new customer, you'll get the chance to subscribe to the carrier's plans at 50% of the original cost. What that means is that one line on Google Fi's Standard plan will cost you $25 a month instead of $50, and its Essentials plan drops to a super-low $17.50.

Even without this deal, the more lines that you get, the bigger the discount, but the deal takes that even further. With four or more lines on Standard, you'll pay only $12.50 per line, and that drops to $11.50 with Essentials. The best part is that this deal gets locked in for 18 months, which is crazy. That's a lot of money to save over a year and a half.

What Criteria Do You Need to Fulfill to Take Advantage of This Deal?

  • You have to be a new customer, or a previous customer who last had service at least 180 days ago
  • You must bring your own device
  • You must claim the promotion before June 5th, its expiry date
  • You must activate the line within 30 days of making the purchase
  • You must remain on the Essentials or Standard plan for the entirety of the 18 months
