In the Android tablet universe, no brand gets more attention than Samsung does, and that shouldn't come as much of a surprise. Think about it: the company is the biggest smartphone OEM in the Android space, so it shouldn't be a shock that they're able to pass that loyalty on to those who are on the market for bigger-screened devices.

I think a lot more people need to break out of blind brand loyalty and look at some of the other options, because OnePlus has always made fantastic tablets, and the OnePlus Pad 3 that it has just announced is going to be yet another in a spotless portfolio. The device is going to launch next month, but for now, the company has decided to tell us a little bit.

The OnePlus Pad 3 Will Arrive Early Next Month

OnePlus isn't quite a stranger to the tablet business. Sure, it hasn't been in it for ages, but it has released enough of them, alongside its sibling company Oppo, to be deemed knowledgeable enough about how to release a killer tab.

For those who love OnePlus' tablet entries, rejoice. The OnePlus Pad series is going to see its continuation next month as the Chinese manufacturer plans to launch the OnePlus Pad 3. The device will launch on June 5th, which is information that comes courtesy of the company itself. The device will be available in a unique Storm Blue colorway, at least in Europe.

This makes the release come quite a bit ahead of when the OnePlus Pad 2 was announced last year. In fact, it's about two months ahead of schedule.

    • OnePlus Pad: April 28th, 2023
    • OnePlus Pad 2: August 1st, 2024
    • OnePlus Pad 3: June 5th, 2025

The OnePlus Pad 3 Won't Shy Away From Delivering Ridiculous Power

The only thing that I think a tablet needs to be classified as a flagship is a chip that brings an appropriate amount of power. Tablets generally have lower expectations set out for them. Excellent performance, a good screen, and cameras that are good enough tend to make a complete package as far as tablet expectations. Samsung nails all those criteria year after year, but so does OnePlus.

This year, OnePlus will keep up its flagship plans, with the OnePlus Pad 3 confirmed to be coming with the Snapdragon 8 Elite. For full context, this will make it one of the very few tablets to have the top-end chip inside.

    ChipsetLaunch Price (USD)
    OnePlus Pad 3Snapdragon 8 EliteTBA
    OnePlus Pad 2Snapdragon 8 Gen 3$550
    Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+Dimensity 9300+$999
    Oppo Pad 4 ProSnapdragon 8 Elite~$460 (CNY 3,300)

Again, expectations tend to be low for tablets—they don't rush to get the latest tech most of the time.

OnePlus Has Deals for You If You Buy Early Enough

As with most major device launches, OnePlus has early access offers available for its loyal buyers. If you buy the device before June 5th, you'll be able to choose two free gifts out of the following three:

    • OnePlus Stylo 2
    • OnePlus Pad 3 Smart Keyboard
    • OnePlus Pad 3 Folio Case

That means you can get up to $269 in value for free. Plus, with an eligible trade-in, you can get up to $100 off the price of the device. Oh, and if you subscribe to OnePlus' updates about the device, that's another $30 off. There's a lot of money to be saved.
