There's this thing that some smartphone companies do, and I don't think I'll ever fully understand it. I'll use Realme to explain it. In China, the Realme GT 7 Pro was launched late last year, but the Realme GT 7 only launched last month. It'd seem normal to launch the basic model first and then build on that later, but hey, what do I know?
Away from that, the Realme GT 7, while available in China already, is gearing up for its global launch. Some specs tend to change when a phone leaves China, and in this case, we've gotten confirmation that the chipset will be one of those. In fact, the GT 7 will be the first phone in the world with MediaTek's new Dimensity 9400e.
The Global Realme GT 7 Will Be Powered By the Flagship Dimensity 9400e

In China, the Realme GT 7 gets the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+, which is the best chip that is currently available in MediaTek's arsenal. While it is sad that the same chip won't be making it into the Realme GT 7 in other regions, that doesn't mean it is going to be getting a shabby replacement. In fact, Realme says that its replacement, the Dimensity 9400e, is one of the top 3 Android SoCs currently available.
The nomenclature of the Dimensity 9400e gives it away as a lower-binned version of the Dimensity 9400, but not at nearly the extent that you'd assume. The chip is incredibly capable and qualifies as a flagship chip on its own, scoring 2.25 million points on AnTuTu benchmarks. That's impressive. So yeah, while the Chinese version gets an objectively better chip, this one is still amazing in its own way.
The Specifications of the MediaTek Dimensity 9400e Are Very Impressive

Just like the Dimensity 9400, the 9400e uses an All Big Core design, which explains why it packs so much power. The table below will break down some of the core specs (pun intended) of the new chip.
| MediaTek Dimensity 9400e | |
| Number of Cores | 8 (Octa-core) |
| Core Layout | 1 x 3.4GHz Cortex-X4 3 x 2.85GHz Cortex-X4 4 x 2.0GHz Cortex-A720 |
| L3 Cache | 8MB |
| SLC Cache | 10MB |
| Memory Support | 8533MHz LPDDR5X |
| Storage Support | UFS 4 |
| GPU | Immortalis-G720 MC12 |
Besides its high AnTuTu score, another place where you'll be able to see how powerful this chip is is in its gaming performance. Realme says that it can support 20 of the most popular games running continuously at 120 frames per second until your phone shuts down. That's impressive.
The Realme GT 7 Is Geared Up to Be a Potent Flagship Killer

Realme has always been good at developing powerful phones at prices that really undercut the competition, and its flagship GT 7 is no different. It seems set to have everything a flagship should have, with the exception of a flagship price, because Realme has never been into that.
Here are some of the specs that have been confirmed for the global version of the Realme GT 7:
- MediaTek Dimensity 9400e
- 7,000mAh
- 120W fast wired charging
- IceSense Graphene cooling solution
- UFS 4.0 storage
