After altering your appearance, a pop-up screen will be displayed asking you to enter your Nickname. Keep in mind that using your real name in games is not recommended.

Type in your preferred alias name and tap on Play. Note that this is the name other players will be able to distinguish you by.

To move, tap and hold on the joystick located on the left-hand side of your screen. To change your view, use your right hand to slide your finger in the position you would like to move toward.

You can jump by tapping on the boot displayed on the right-hand side of your screen.

Engaging in Battle

In order to attack enemies, tap on the weapon displayed on the right-hand side of your screen. This is the largest of the circles on the right. Note that for the purpose of this article, we chose the Priest, and her icon may differ according to her class.

You can use special skills to defeat enemies faster, simply tap on the icon displaying your skills to do so. The skill icons are smaller than the main weapon icon. See below:

Now anyone who is familiar with Neverwinter will recognize this game for what it is; absolutely awesome!

Raid Boss System

You can form teams to take on some higher-level enemies. Do not take this lightly, as these are really tough to beat if you don't have the correct team. A healer is a must in a situation like this!

In the beginning, you will automatically be thrown into a scenario where you will need to defeat a monster. As a tip, stay with your team to make sure you are within healing range.

Avoid red markers on the ground coming from enemies, as these will cause some major damage to you! Use your skills as much as possible while engaging with the dragon.

Once the dragon is defeated, you will be taken to a new map, which you will be able to see easily by tapping on it on the right-hand upper corner of your screen. Accessing your map will help you see exactly where you are, and other available places you can go to.

Matchmaking System

You can either join a team that asks you to, or you can form your own team to go into battle with. To join or form a team, tap on the Diamons-shaped icon and scroll down to Team.

You have a few options, like joining a team, or you can create your own team for a dungeon run-through.

You can use the Quick Apply option, which will send you to a random dungeon, or you can sign up and customize the sort of team you are looking for. So many options!

Quests

First, though, you should follow the quests lined up for you in order to gain a better perspective of what is required from you. These can be seen on the left-hand side of your screen.

You can interact with objects on your screen that have a shiny tinge on them. Tap on the speech bubble wherever you can during gameplay. See the example below:

The same is applicable to NPCs (Non-player characters) throughout Tarisland gameplay.

In order to accept your first Tarisland quest, walk towards Jeya and tap on the bubble stating Talk With Jeya. Tap on Abnormal Inscribed Stone and a new pop-up will be displayed. Here you can either accept the quest if you are ready, or you can cancel the prompt and return to the map.

Following the storyline will help you gain in-game currencies that are needed for progression. You are now able to leave the cave with Jeya, so follow her like your life depends on it, because it probably does!

You are able to videos if you really want to, as these short clips tell you the story of Tarisland. Simply tap on skip located in the top right-hand corner of your screen when a video pops up.

Medic!

Potions

Being a healer is tough in any game, and Tarisland is no different, so there is always a chance that a medic won't be able to heal you quickly enough, or you've run for the hills during an epic dungeon battle and you are out of range of their healing powers. (This has happened to me countless times, ie. the running part!).

No worries! You have a special stack of potions in Tarisland that can heal you if you see your health bar running on the low side, and you can't get back in range quickly enough. Simply tap on the potions bottle on the right-hand side of your screen when you see your health is low.

Doing so continuously will heal you pretty fast, hopefully fast enough to get back to the healer! Take note that you have a limited amount, so use them wisely!

Quest path

The map of Tarisland is huge! Not sure how to follow the quest? Tap on the quest prompt on the left-hand side, and a path will be shown. You will see glowing lights on the floor which you just need to follow.

Fast Travel

Unlocking waypoints is a way to travel across the map without having to do the actual running. Once you reach the first waypoint, tap on it to activate it. Thereafter, each time you pass closeby to a waypoint, it will automatically activate.

If you would like to see which waypoints you have unlocked and want to fast travel, ie. teleport, tap on your map located on the far right-hand side of your screen in the upper corner.

Once your map pops up, tap on the area you want to teleport to, and your screen will show you which places you can travel to.

That is it for Tarisland gameplay starters, now we move on to more advanced features.

First Mount

Mounts can be used to reach your destination faster in Tarisland. Not only that, equipping a mount will give you better stats and power up your character.

To start off with mounts, complete the tent quest and speak to Jeya. She will ask you to Ride a mount to investigate the Black Tower.

Riding a mount

To ride a mount in Tarisland for the first time, simply get close enough to the one displayed on your screen and tap on Ride.

That's the easy part. Talk with Lorne and complete the dungeon. (That's the hard part!)

Once you have completed the dungeon, you will be asked to view the Stone. This stone can be found in your inventory, access it by tapping in the backpack on the right-hand side of your screen.

Once you have used the stone, you are able to go to the Reputation shop and purchase your first mount using silver coins; a Rhino.

To see your new mount in Tarisland, tap on the Diamond-shaped icon and tap on Appearance. The third tab on your left shows Mount. Tap on it. There are two types of mounts as of now; Flying and ground.

Tap on ground to view your mount. If you are lucky enough to have acquired a flying mount, you would tap on flying. Here you are able to see what sort of traits you can gain by collecting various mounts, as well as your mounts' special skill/s.

Special events and completing different milestones and quests will enable you to collect mounts.

To ride your mount in Tarisland, simply tap on the horse icon located on the right-hand side of your screen. To dismount, tap on the horse icon again.
