This should come as no surprise to anyone that Asus is shipping more than 400,000 Eee Pad Transformers per month. The company has literally “transformed” the tablet market and industry with this product. The Transformer is a 10.1-inch Tablet running Honeycomb 3.1, in line to soon receive 3.2, houses Nvidia's popular dual-core Tegra 2 chip set and docs seamlessly into a full sized keyboard such as found on most notebooks.

DigiTimes reports that they expect shipments to grow even further as we approach Q3 and could possibly reach as much as 500,000 units per month. Asus however, is aiming a little higher. The company reported that they hope to ship somewhere in the vicinity of 4-5 million of their tablet brands during the second half of 2011 with the possibility of 3 million of them being Eee Pad Transformers, according to DigiTimes. Stay tuned here at Talk Android as we follow the tablet's success into the third and fourth quarter of the year. We expect as the device continues to favorably receive updates, its popularity will only grow. Feel free to leave us your thoughts in the comments below.
