Google Wallet is a digital wallet. It's a way to store payment cards, boarding passes, tickets, and so on. Think of most of the things that you'd likely have in your wallet.

Google Wallet has lived as an Android app for a long time, but it has finally gotten a webpage of its own, which is an interesting development. If you're looking for a way to manage your Google Wallet info and settings, you'll now be able to do it from your browser.

Google Wallet can be incredibly convenient, and for some folks, it is a part of daily life, so it is important to make sure that everything in this virtual wallet of yours is always in order. Before, you were only able to do this from your Android device, but what if you want to manage things in your wallet while away from your phone?

Well, now, you can do exactly that, thanks to Google launching a website for Google Wallet. The only real surprise here is that there wasn't one before. After all, if you can use the Google Play Store on your computer to remotely install apps on your devices, then it is certainly not too much to ask to be able to access Google Wallet from your PC.

What Will You Be Able To Do From The Google Wallet Website?

The Google Wallet webpage is going to bring a lot of the functionality from the Wallet app to your browser, making it a more convenient option to use when your phone might be out of reach or something. You'll be able to do quite a few things, including:

  • View, add, edit, or remove any payment methods that you have saved with Google Pay
  • View your Google Pay transactions
  • Manage Google Wallet and Google Pay settings
  • View Google Wallet passes including concert tickets, boarding passes, loyalty cards, and so on (though passes like ID cards and digital car keys can only be viewed from the Android application)

Keep in mind that changes that you make on the Google Wallet website to any of your payment methods will apply across your entire Google account, which means you don't need to do anything more than once.

It's Quite Similar To The Google Pay Webpage, With A Few Additions

At the moment, the Google Wallet page encompasses a lot of the things that the Google Pay page already does, with some Wallet-related features added to the mix. Even the design of the page is relatively similar, which is interesting.

Normally, I'd say that this would be prone to making the Google Pay page redundant, but I don't think that Google is planning to put that page to sleep — worldwide, that is. In some regions, Google Wallet isn't even available, so it still makes sense to keep them separate for now.

However, for people in regions with Google Wallet, you might never need to use the Google Pay webpage again, especially as Google has made its plans clear to shut down Google Pay.
