As Nothing prepares to launch its follow up to the Phone (1) on July 11th, it's being reported that pre-orders for the upcoming handset could go live as soon as June 29th. According to Indian retailer, Flipkart, fans will be able to pre-order the Phone (2) by placing a Rs 2,000 deposit (refundable) on the site.
Those placing a pre-order will be required to check the Flipkat site between 9 PM on July 11 and 11:59 PM on July 20 to choose their desired storage variant and colorway. Afterwards, users will be able to claim pre-order offers such as getting the Ear (Stick) at a 50% discount along with other Nothing products, and also pay the remaining balance.
What does this mean for the US?
It's unclear at the moment when the Phone (2) will be available to pre-order or what its price will be. What we do know is that in Europe (via Dealabs) the Phone (2) in 256GB guise will cost €729 (~$795) with the 512GB variant costing an addition €120 (~$131). This all feels a little steep considering its a handset with last year's Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip under the hood.
There's around 2 weeks to go until Nothing launches the Phone (2) on July 11th and it's fair to say that we can expect a few more leaks (official and otherwise) in the lead-up to the event.
