Opera has launched its new AI-powered browser experience called Aria 4

Opera has today unveiled its new integrated generative AI service called Aria which is built-in natively into the browser. The Aria AI side panel leverages Opera's collaboration with OpenAI to access real-time information from the internet.

Aria is based on Opera's “Composer” infrastructure and is connected to OpenAI's GPT technology which is enhanced by additional capabilities such as adding live results from the web. This means that results will be more accurate because Aria is able to access the latest data instead of being limited to pre-2021 data like previous AI services. Opera is also using Aria to supplement its customer service by answering users' questions.

That all sounds great, but what can it do for me?

That's the burning question, right? Well, basically it means that accessing AI will be easier to do with fewer hoops to jump threw once you've set up the new browser. Thanks to its live data capabilities, results will be more accurate and pertinent to your requests to write essays, solve equations, create workout routines, or anything else you'd like the AI to answer or come up with. Just take a look at the embedded tweet above as an example of how AI can help in your daily life.

Opera has launched its new AI-powered browser experience called Aria 5

Opera says that Aria will become increasingly integrated into its browser in future versions, with the ultimate aim of being ‘natively blended into the browser, helping users perform cross-browser tasks'.

To access the Aria AI beta version, you'll need to download the Opera browser from the Play Store for your handset or here for your PC and sign up for an Opera account if you don't already have one. You'll then be notified via email or in the browser app that your account has been whitelisted for accessing Aria via the sidebar of the browser.

As mentioned, the Aria AI service is in beta which means you may encounter the odd bug or artifact in your usage.
