It's just the other day that the Motorola Edge 40 Pro had its global launch with the brand being coy about its release in the US, and now we have leaked renders of the vanilla Edge 40 in a rather stunning “Viva Magenta” colorway to gaze at. Sporting certification from the Pantone Institute, the rear panel of the Edge 40 would appear to have a vegan leather finish as opposed to the usual glass construction we see on so many phones.
The “Viva Magenta” colorway is definitely a head-turner in terms of finish and hue, which may lend it to becoming a Deutsche Telekom/T-Mobile exclusive. The renders above are courtesy of Roland Quandt from WinFuture.
Expected to be powered (via MySmartPrice) by MediaTek's Dimensity 8020 chipset, the Motorola Edge 40 may also sport a slightly smaller display with just a 144Hz refresh rate. It's likely to feature 8GB of RAM and 256GB of built-in storage, along with a smaller 4,400mAh battery and 68W fast charging, which is still plenty quick when compared to the likes of Google, Samsung, and iOS smartphones. It's also thought camera setup consisting of a single 50MP main sensor and a 13MP ultra-wide lens.
For the moment, there's no word on when or where we can expect the Motorola Edge 40 to be released. In the meantime, what do you think of the “Viva Magenta” colorway?
