Microsoft's $1,400 Surface Duo is out and being delivered to consumers, and it's also made its way into the hands of a certain tormentor of smart devices, Zack Nelson, or JerryRigEverything as you might know him. This time, it's the turn of Microsoft's dual-screened foldable to be bent, scratched, scraped, and burned as part of the traditional durability test. As an added bonus, the Surface Slim Pen is also bent in half before being sliced open and having its innards surveyed.

While the Surface Duo exhibits the ability to bend in a way the engineers didn't plan for, it doesn't actually break which is probably down to the added strength that the hinge provides. Still, you won't want to be sitting down with the device in your back pocket.
While the Surface Duo shows a ton of damage, it's important to note that the tests and tortures performed during the video are not representative of real-life scenarios. I mean, you wouldn't spontaneously decide to pull out a lighter and start burning the display on your phone, would you?
