Many front line responders to the Covid-19 pandemic have found themselves face-to-face with this virus and they are choosing to stay away from their families to reduce the risk of passing it on. The problem faced by them is finding a place to stay. Well help is on hand from Google.

Healthcare officials, first responders and other key workers can now find a covid-19 responder friendly hotel with special offers (which sometimes includes FREE!) for those involved on the front line of the crisis within Google Search and Maps.

Google says that you can search for something like “hotels in London” and then narrow the search using the ‘COVID-19 responder rooms' filter to find available deals.

As well as that, within maps or on Google.com/travel a tip will appear at the top of the results page highlighting any deals for frontline workers.

This is only live in the US and the UK at the moment but Google hopes to launch globally soon.
